DECLARATION

amending Decree No 298 / 1997 of the Ministry of Health Coll., laying down the chemical health requirements for each type of food and food raw material, their conditions of use, their labelling on packaging, the purity and identity requirements for additives and food supplements and the microbiological requirements for food supplements and additives
According to § 19 (a) and (b) of Act No. 110 / 1997 Coll., on Food and Tobacco Products and on the amendment and addition of certain related laws:
Decree No 298 / 1997 Coll., laying down the chemical health requirements for each type of food and food raw material, their conditions of use, their labelling, the purity and identity requirements for additives and food supplements, and the microbiological requirements for food supplements and additives are amended as follows:
1. In Annex No 1, Part 1, paragraph 7 (a), at the end, the comma is replaced by a semicolon and the following sentence is added: "This shall apply only in cases where the additive is a dye, '.
2. In Annex No 1, Part 1, paragraph 7, the following shall be added at the end of point (c): "resulting in a sorbic acid content of more than 100 mg.kg-1 or benzoic acid of more than 50 mg.kg-1 or sulphur dioxide of more than 50 mg.kg-1 or mg.l-1, as the case may be."
3. In Annex No 1, Part 1, in the table for the entry "Sodium hydroxide ', the designation" E 525' is replaced by "E 524 '.
4. In Annex 1, Part 1, the entry "E 525 Potassium hydroxide 'is added to the table.
5. In Annex No 1, Part 1, in the table for the entry "Oxidised starch ', the designation" E 1402' is replaced by "E 1404 '.
6. ';
9. In Annex No 1, Part 5, table No 2, entry No 16, the word "ketchup 'is added.
10. In Annex No 1, Part 5, Table 7, in the column "Food name ', the entry" cold sauces, mayonnaise, seasoning mixtures', the following is added: "except ketchup and cold tomato sauce '.
