Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on the establishment of tourist paths intersecting national borders was negotiated in Prague in exchange for notes of 15 and 30 December 1994.
This Agreement was negotiated on the basis of Article 3 (1) of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on small border traffic on tourist trails and in tourist zones and on the crossing of national borders in special cases of 3 November 1994, published under No 237 / 1994 Coll.
The Agreement entered into force on 30 December 1994.
In accordance with the text of the same provision of the abovementioned Agreement of 3 November 1994, its Contracting Parties further informed each other, by unilateral notes of 15 and 30 December 1994, of the progress of the tourist routes on their territory.
The Czech version of Czech notes and the translation of German notes are announced simultaneously.

Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany has the honour to inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, in view of the negotiations between the expert delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany and the expert delegation of the Czech Republic on the establishment of a border crossing the tourist paths which took place in Cheb on 30 and 31 May 1994, the conclusion of the Arrangement between the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of the Czech Republic on the establishment of a border crossing the tourist paths should be as follows:
1. The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of the Czech Republic have agreed on the basis of Article 3 (1) of the Agreement between the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of the Czech Republic on small border traffic on tourist routes and in tourist zones and on the crossing of national borders in specific cases, of 3 November 1994 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement), on the establishment of the following border crossing paths:

2. The crossing of the national border on the tourist trails referred to in number 1 is permitted as a rule on a daily basis
between 6.00 and 22.00 between 1 April and 30 September, and
between 8.00 and 18.00 from 1 October to 31 March.
On the tourist path Finsterau-Bučina / Buchenwald crossing the state border is allowed daily
between 6.00 and 20.00 between 1 April and 30 September, and
between 8.00 and 17.00 from 1 October to 31 March.
On the tourist trail Großer Osser- Sharp is crossing the state border allowed daily
between 6.00 and 22.00 between 1 May and 30 September, and
from 8.00 to 18.00 from 1 October to 31 October.
On the Dreisessel hiking trail / Three-stools - New The valley is allowed to cross the state border daily
between 6.00 and 22.00 between 1 April and 30 September, and
from 8.00 to 18.00 from 1 October to 31 October.
On the Dreisessel hiking trail / Three-stools - New The valley is allowed to cross the state border daily
from 6.00 to 22.00 between 1 July and 30 September, and
between 8.00 and 18.00 from 1 October to 15 March.
3. The above tourist paths will be opened on 1 January 1995.
4. The course of tourist paths crossing the border in the various sovereign territories will be communicated by exchange of special diplomatic notes.
If the Government of the Czech Republic agrees to the proposals of the Federal Republic of Germany, it will create this verbal note and the responsible note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressing the agreement of the Government of the Czech Republic of the Arrangement between the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of the Czech Republic, which will enter into force with the date of the relevant note and will apply for the duration of the agreement.

2. The crossing of national borders on tourist trails is generally permitted daily
from 06.00 to 22.00, from 1 April to 30 September; and
from 08.00 to 18.00, from 1 October to 31 March.
On the tourist path Bučina - Finsterau is allowed crossing state borders daily
from 06.00 to 20.00, from 1 April to 30 September; and
from 08.00 to 17.00, from 1 October to 31 March.
On the hiking trail of Ostrý - Großer Osser is allowed to cross state borders daily
from 06.00 to 22.00, from 1 May to 30 September; and
from 08.00 to 18.00, from 1 October to 31 October.
On the tourist path of the New Valley / Třicelík - Dreisessel is allowed to cross national borders daily
from 06.00 to 22.00, from 1 April to 30 September; and
from 08.00 to 18.00, from 1 October to 31 October.
On the tourist path of the Front Stream - Waldheim is allowed to cross state borders daily
from 06.00 to 22.00, from 1 July to 30 September; and
between 08.00 and 18.00 from 1 October to 15 March.
3. The opening of the above tourist trails will take place on 1 January 1995.
4. The course of tourist paths intersecting national borders in the sovereign territory will be communicated by a special diplomatic note.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic has the honour to state that the Government of the Czech Republic agrees with the proposals of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. Accordingly, the notes of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and this note of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on the establishment of hiking trails, which will enter into force today and will be valid for the duration of the Agreement.
