Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that on 14 January 1994 an Agreement was signed in Piestany between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on the transition of rights and obligations from the termination of the service of police officers included in the Federal Police Corps and the Department of Police and Army Corps of the Ministry of Interior.
The Agreement entered into force on 14 January 1994 pursuant to Article 5 thereof.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

The Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic to ensure the transition of rights and obligations from the end of the service of police officers included in the Federal Police Force and the Ministry of Interior Castle Police and Army Corps agreed as follows:
The rights and obligations of the end of the employment of police officers included in the Federal Police Force and the Department of Police and Army of the Army of the Ministry of Interior shall be transferred to the Czech Republic and to the Slovak Republic according to the place of permanent residence of the police officer or professional soldier, which he had on 31 December 1992, in addition to the claims which pursuant to Constitutional Act No. 624 / 1992 Coll., on the demise of the function of judges and on the end of the employment and employment conditions in connection with the demise of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, must be met by 31 December 1992 at the latest.
In accordance with Article 1, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic are also transferred from the end of the service conditions which, before 31 December 1992, were transferred to the Federal Police Corps, the Castle Police Corps or to the armies of the Ministry of Interior.
The Contracting Parties shall designate a body which shall satisfy the claims and, where appropriate, apply the end-of-service obligations referred to in Articles 1 and 2.
This Agreement shall be concluded for an indefinite period.
This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of signature.
Dane in Piestany on 14 January 1994 in duplicate, each in the Czech and Slovak languages, both texts being equally authentic.
