on the Cultural Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh
On 13 May 1981, the Cultural Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh was signed in Dhaka. Pursuant to Article 6 thereof, the Agreement entered into force on 19 December 1981.

CULTURAL AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh
the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (hereinafter the Contracting Parties),
led by the desire to extend and deepen mutual cooperation in the fields of art and culture, education, sport and science,
convinced that such cooperation will help further develop mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries,
they have agreed as follows:
The Parties shall develop cooperation in the fields of culture, education, art, literature, science and mass media and, to this end, allow:
(a) the organisation of artistic and cultural exhibitions;
(b) exchanges of books and publications of a cultural and scientific nature;
(c) the exchange of printed, radio and television material;
(d) exchanges of artistic, educational and scientific documentary films.
The Parties shall encourage exchanges of visits by scientists, teachers, literary workers, artists, journalists and film workers, radio and television. The Parties shall also promote exchanges of cultural delegations and groups, sports cooperatives or athletes.
Each Party may grant scholarships to citizens of the other Party, within the limits of its existing possibilities and means, and allow them to be studied at educational, scientific and cultural institutions.
Each Party shall allow access to scientific and cultural institutions and facilities, archives and libraries to representatives of the other Party in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Both governments will examine to what extent and under what conditions it is possible to recognise in each country for academic purposes or where appropriate, for professional purposes, the same validity of degrees, diplomas and certificates obtained during or at the end of studies at universities or other educational institutions, as well as diplomas obtained in the other country.
In order to implement this Agreement, both Contracting Parties will conclude cultural exchange programmes for certain periods, including agreed actions, including financial conditions.
This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the last notification by one Party to the other Party that the necessary conditions for the entry into force of this Agreement have been fulfilled.
This Agreement shall be in force within 180 days of the date on which one Contracting Party notifies the other through diplomatic channels of its wish to terminate the Agreement.
