concerning the Agreement between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Austria on the amendment of the Agreement of 22 September 1962 concerning the treatment of railway border crossing
On 3 January 1967, the Agreement between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Austria on the amendment of the Agreement on the adaptation of the border crossing of railways of 22 September 1962 was signed in Prague.
The President of the Republic has ratified the Agreement. The instruments of ratification were exchanged in Vienna on 4 October 1967.
Pursuant to Article III thereof, the Agreement entered into force on 4 November 1967.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

AGREEMENT
between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Austria amending the Agreement of 22 September 1962 on the treatment of railway border crossing
The Agreement between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Austria on the treatment of railway border crossing of 22 September 1962 is hereby amended as follows:
1. Article 6 (2) shall read as follows:
"(2) Communication long-distance links crossing national borders connecting exchange stations and border stations shall end at those stations and shall not be connected to the inland network. However, the Railway Administration of the Contracting States may agree otherwise, provided that this is provided for under national law. '
2. Article 18 (2) shall read as follows:
"(2) Passengers for crossing national borders shall be issued for a period of five years. The licences for crossing state borders are issued by the Czechoslovak Ministry of Interior for Czechoslovak railway staff and are seen by the Austrian Security Directorate. Licences for crossing national borders for Austrian rail workers are issued by the competent Austrian Security Directorate and seen by the Czechoslovak Ministry of Interior. Vision shall be granted for the period of validity of licences for crossing national borders. ';
Vision of licences for crossing national borders granted to railway staff by 31 December 1967 shall apply without further vision for the duration of such licences.
This Agreement shall be subject to ratification. It shall enter into force one month after the replacement of the instruments of ratification. The replacement of instruments of ratification will be carried out in Vienna.
Dane in Prague on 3 January 1967 in two original copies in Czech and German, both texts being equally authentic.
