The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that on 29 October 1992 the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on cooperation in the field of telecommunications services of the ministries of interior and cipher services was signed in Prague.
The Agreement entered into force on 1 January 1993 on the basis of Article 4 thereof.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.
AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on cooperation in the field of telecommunications services of the ministries of interior and cipher services
Government of the Czech Republic and Government of the Slovak Republic
led by the need to ensure cooperation between the security authorities of both Contracting Parties in the field of telecommunications services of the ministries of interior and cipher services
agree on the following:
The Contracting Parties undertake to:
a) Instructs the Home Ministers to perform functions of the Central Encryption Bodies in the range of activities provided by the former Central Encryption Body of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic;
(b) instruct the Interior Ministers to negotiate contracts in the field of international government secret links and in the field of cooperation between the Republic's authorities on the cryptographic services, including the contract for the protection of cryptographic devices;
(c) authorise the Home Ministers to ensure the performance of international and national secret government connections.
The rights and obligations arising from contracts concluded by the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic shall be transferred in full to both Parties.
This Agreement shall be negotiated for an indefinite period. The Contracting Parties may at any time denounce it in writing by diplomatic channels, the Agreement being terminated six months after the date of receipt of the notice.
This Agreement shall enter into force on 1 January 1993.
Dane in Prague on 29 October 1992 in two copies, each in the Czech and Slovak languages, both texts being equally authentic.
