Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that on 30 March 1993 the Treaty between the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic on the establishment of customs crossing points at the common national borders was signed in Prague.
The Treaty entered into force on 30 March 1993 pursuant to Article 4 (2) thereof.
The Czech version of the Treaty is hereby published at the same time.
TREATY
between the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic on the establishment of customs crossing points at common national borders
Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, led by efforts to further develop friendly relations,
Demonstrating the desire to expand cooperation in international trade, transport and tourism,
they have agreed as follows:
Customs crossing points shall be established at the common national borders, the list of which and the extent of transport are set out in the Annex to this Treaty.
The operation at the customs crossing points listed in the Annex to this Treaty shall be ensured continuously, for citizens of all States.
The Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic are hereby authorised to amend the Annex to this Treaty by mutual agreement.
(1) This Treaty is subject to approval under the legislation of both Contracting Parties.
(2) This Treaty shall enter into force on the date of signature.
(3) The contract is concluded for an indefinite period. Each Party may denounce it in writing by diplomatic means.
(4) In the event of termination, this Treaty shall expire six months after the date of receipt of the notice to the other Contracting Party, unless otherwise agreed.
Dane in Prague on 30 March 1993 in two copies, each in the Czech and Slovak languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
