Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that on 30 March 1999 the Joint Committee of the European Community and the European Free Trade Association (EC- EFTA) "Common Transit Scheme" Resolution No 2 / 99 amending Annex I to the Convention of 20 May 1987 on a common transit procedure was adopted in Brussels. *)
Order No 2 / 99 entered into force on 31 March 1999 on the basis of Article 2 and entered into force on that date for the Czech Republic.
The Czech translation of Resolution No 2 / 99 is being announced simultaneously.

EC-EFTA Joint Committee "Common transit procedure"
of 30 March 1999
amending Annex I to the Convention of 20 May 1987 on a common transit procedure
Joint Committee -
based on the Convention of 20 May 1987 on a common transit procedure (1), in particular Article 15 (3) (a),
considering that:
the international computer network is necessary to enable the exchange of information between competent authorities after the implementation of the computerised transit system established by Resolution No 1 / 99 of the Joint Committee, 2)
The European Community has already developed a common communication network / common communication network / common systems interface (CCN / CSI) which meets all the necessary requirements,
it is appropriate to extend the CCN / CSI to the European Free Trade Community (EFTA) countries and to take measures to establish their participation,
It is therefore necessary to add Annex I to the Convention -
He decided:
Annex I to the Convention is added as follows:
"(1a) The Common Communication Network (CCN / CSI) shall be used by all Contracting Parties for the exchange of information referred to in paragraph 1. The financial contribution of the EFTA countries and other relevant issues shall be agreed between the Community and each EFTA country. ';
This resolution shall enter into force on 31 March 1999.
