The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that on 11 February 1994 the Protocol on Cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of External Economic Relations of the Republic of Tajikistan was signed in Prague.
The Protocol entered into force on 11 February 1994 pursuant to Article 4 (1) thereof.
Czech version The Protocol shall be published simultaneously. The Russian text, which is decisive for its interpretation, can be consulted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

on cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic
and Ministry of External Economic Relations of the Republic of Tajikistan
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of External Economic Relations of the Republic of Tajikistan, hereinafter referred to as the Parties, in order to further develop economic cooperation and increase the mutual turnover of goods and services provided, agreed, in accordance with the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on commercial economic relations and cooperation in the field of science and technology, the following:
The Parties consider the development of proposals on prospective bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan as the most important course of joint action.
To this end, together with the development of forward-looking economic development programmes for both countries, the Parties will prepare draft guidelines for foreign economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan at the level of individual sectors and areas of industrial production and trade.
In order to achieve those objectives, the Parties agree to carry out regular consultations on the progress of economic transformations in both countries, on changes in the legal systems of the economy, as well as on the development and implementation of individual programmes and projects of mutual interest.
The Parties shall assist each other in addressing current issues related to the expansion of trade and economic cooperation.
When drawing up export and import forecasts for the coming year, the Parties shall exchange proposals for priority needs for mutual supply of goods and services.
The Parties shall assist each other in creating the necessary conditions for the implementation of mutual supplies, in particular of priority goods, in accordance with the legal rules applicable in each of the countries.
The Parties shall work on proposals to improve the clearing and payment mechanism for supplies of goods, ensuring that mutual exchange of goods is increased.
The Parties agree, where necessary, to hold meetings of experts and other representatives of both Parties, inviting experts from relevant ministries, departments and banks to assess the state and prospects of bilateral economic relations, including priority supplies, the development of specific cooperation programmes and projects, as well as to agree on proposals to improve the conditions and forms of economic cooperation and trade between them.
This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of its signature.
This Protocol shall be negotiated for an indefinite period. However, each Party may terminate the Protocol in writing, ending three months after the date of notification of termination to the other Party.
Dane in Prague on 11 February 1994 in two original copies, Czech, Tajik and Russian, all texts being equally valid.
In the event of a different interpretation of the text of this Protocol, the text will be taken as a basis in the Russian language.
