concerning the Cultural Cooperation Agreement between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Egyptian Republic
On 19 October 1957, the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Egypt was negotiated in Cairo.
The Government approved the Agreement on 5 March 1958. The approval of the Agreement by the competent Egyptian authorities was communicated by a note dated 28 December 1957 and its approval by the Government of the Czechoslovak Republic was communicated by a note dated 24 March 1958.
Article 7 The Agreement entered into force on 24 March 1958.

AGREEMENT
ON CULTURAL COOPERATION BETWEEN THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND THE EGYPT REPUBLIC
the Government of the Czechoslovak Republic and the Government of the Republic of Egypt,
led by efforts to deepen friendly relations between the peoples of both countries,
seeking closer cooperation between the two countries in all areas of art, science, education and education, education, physical education and sport,
have decided to conclude this Agreement and to this end have appointed their agents:
the Government of the Czechoslovak Republic of Mr Arnošt Karpíšek, the extraordinary and authorised ambassador of the Czechoslovak Republic to the Republic of Egypt,
Government of the Republic of Egypt, Mr Ali Sabri, Minister for Foreign Affairs,
who have exchanged their powers of attorney and found them in good and proper form, have agreed on the following provisions:
The Parties shall assist each other in promoting scientific and artistic cooperation. They have therefore agreed in particular as follows:
A. Both Parties will promote exchange between their countries, their institutes and universities of university professors and scientists.
B. Both Contracting Parties shall endeavour to seek the tariff advantage of bilateral consignments of teaching equipment for schools and laboratories and shall allow for the measures of such articles from the other Contracting Party.
C. Both Parties will support the publication of literary and artistic works, organise competitions and award awards to authors and translators who will help the members of both Parties to mutual knowledge in the field of science and art.
D. Both Parties will promote exchanges between their official scientific and artistic organisations, such as national libraries and scientific, artistic and historical museums.
E. Both Contracting Parties shall, as far as possible, grant to members of the other Contracting Party advantages such as the granting of financial support and invitations to scientific and artistic exhibitions, theatre and film performances, music programmes and radio broadcasting. To this end, the competent authorities, bodies and bodies in the country of both Contracting Parties shall agree for each such case.
Both Parties shall ensure that the historical and geographical manuals used in their educational institutes contain, as far as possible, such data as would help their students to create a faithful picture of the country of the other Contracting Party.
In their radio and television broadcasts, both Parties shall reserve special programmes to help to improve mutual knowledge.
Having regard to the conclusion of a special agreement, the two Parties will examine the necessary conditions for mutual recognition of the validity of the degrees and diplomas awarded by their institutes and for the provision of all possible advantages for the admission of students of the other Party to their institutes.
Both Parties will promote sport and physical relations between individuals and organisations of both countries.
In the exchange of cultural material, both Contracting Parties guarantee mutual protection of copyright.
This Agreement shall enter into force in accordance with the constitutional requirements of both Parties. It shall remain in force six months after either Party has notified the other Party in writing of its intention to terminate this Agreement.
This Agreement was drawn up in duplicate, each in the Czech, Arabic and English languages. In the event of a difference between Czech and Arabic texts, the decisive text will be English.
