on the Protocol to the Agreement on Reparations from Germany, establishing the Inter-Allied Reparation Office and returning monetary gold of 14 January 1946, as agreed in Brussels on 15 March 1948.
The Protocol to the Agreement on Reparations from Germany on the establishment of the Interallied Reparation Office and the Return of Monetary Gold, signed on 14 January 1946, No 150 Coll. of 1947, was negotiated in Brussels on 15 March 1948.
This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of its signature.
Under the Czechoslovak Republic, it was signed on 14 April 1948, with the Government's approval given by its resolution in a meeting held on 25 March 1948. It was approved by the National Assembly on 5 May 1948 and was ratified on 22 December 1948 by the President of the Republic.

PROTOCOL
to the Agreement on Reparations from Germany on the Establishment of the Interallied Reparation Office and the Return of Monetary Gold of 14 January 1946
The Governments of Albania, the United States of America, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France, the United Kingdom of Great Britannia and Northern Ireland, Greece, India, Luxembourg, Norway, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, South Africa Union and Jugoslavia, take note of the Arrangement of 22 January 1948, according to which the Governments of India and Pakistan have agreed to divide among themselves the percentage reparation shares granted to the Government of India under Article 1 B of the Paris Agreement of 14 January 1946, in the following manner:
India: category A 1.65, category B 2.39,
Pakistan: category A 0.35, category B 0.51.
It is noted that the Government of India and the Government of Pakistan have agreed that the value of the reparation goods in category B allocated to the Government of India up to and including 14 August 1947 and acting, subject to accounting adjustments by the Allied Reparation Office, if necessary, to RM 10,900,000, shall be regarded as being distributed in the following manner:
Dominium India: RM 8,983,000,
Dominium Pakistan: RM 1,917.000,
in which it is agreed that this division may be granted by mutual agreement between the governments of India and Pakistan.
It is noted that the Government of India and the Government of Pakistan have agreed that the value of the reparation goods in category B allocated to the Government of India between 15 August 1947 and 22 January 1948 and acting, subject to accounting adjustments by the Inter-Allied Reparation Office, if necessary, RM 1.068.000 is considered to be allocated to the Government of India, in which it is agreed that the said allocation may be adjusted by mutual agreement between the Governments of India and Pakistan.
They agreed as follows:
Since the signature of this Protocol by the signatory governments of the Paris Agreement and the Dominion Government of Pakistan, the Dominium Pakistan will be considered to be the signatory government of the Paris Agreement with the relevant rights and obligations, as from the date of entry into force of this Agreement, and will also be deemed to have acceded to the unanimous replies of the Paris Reparation Conference. The governments of India and Pakistan will be entitled to the following reparation shares:
India: category A 1.65, category B 2.39,
Pakistan: category A 0.35, category B 0.51.
On 15 March 1948, this Protocol, written in English and French, was signed in Brussels by the signing of the duly authorised signature by their respective governments, which is equally authentic in the two texts, in a single original which will be annexed to the Paris Agreement and deposited in the archives of the French Republic, which will submit a certified copy to all the signatory governments, as well as a certified copy of the Paris Agreement to the Government of Dominion of Pakistan.
