on the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Finland on the visa waiver
On 31 January 1975, the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Finland on the abolition of the visa requirement was signed in Helsinki and entered into force on 1 April 1975 pursuant to Article 7 thereof.
The Czech translation of the Agreement is announced simultaneously.

AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Finland on visa waiver

Government of the Republic of Finland
in order to further develop relations, they have decided to conclude the following visa waiver agreement:
The citizens of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Finland shall be exempt from the visa requirement to the extent and under the conditions laid down in this Agreement.
(1) National citizens of one State with a valid passport may travel to the territory of another State without a visa and stay there for a period not exceeding three months.
(2) The national citizens of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic shall be counted against the abovementioned three-month stay in the territory of the Republic of Finland in the territory of the Nordic States which are Contracting Parties to the Convention of 12 July 1957 on the Abandonment of Passport Control at the State Borders, including the stay which took place six months before entering the territory of the Republic of Finland.
(1) State borders may be crossed under the conditions laid down in this Agreement only at border crossing points for international travel.
(2) Within 30 days of the date of signature of this Agreement, the competent central authorities of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Finland shall exchange passport designs by diplomatic means. They shall be informed of any changes to these documents by the same means, no later than 30 days before their introduction, and shall simultaneously send their specimens.
This Agreement shall not affect the right of both States to refuse entry into, or expulsion of, their territory of an unwanted national citizen and to shorten his stay.
National citizens of one State are obliged to comply with its legislation during their stay in the territory of another State.
For reasons of public policy, the Contracting Parties may temporarily suspend the application of the Agreement either in whole or in part. The suspension shall be notified immediately by diplomatic channels to the other Contracting Party.
(1) This Agreement shall be negotiated for an indefinite period and shall become applicable on 1 April 1975.
(2) The Contracting Parties may terminate this Agreement in writing. The Agreement shall expire three months after the date of its notification.

I have the honor To inform you that when implementing the visa waiver agreement signed today, the competent authorities of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Finland, in accordance with the principles of international law, will consult each other on possible problems arising from persons at the same time considered by both States as their national citizens.
If a citizen of the Republic of Finland loses his passport in the territory of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, the Czech legislation requires the competent Czechoslovak authorities to understand about the loss, which will issue a certificate of notification of the loss.

"I have the honour to inform you that when implementing the visa waiver agreement signed today, the competent authorities of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Finland, in accordance with the principles of international law, will consult each other on possible problems arising from persons simultaneously considered by both States as their national citizens.
In the event that a citizen of the Republic of Finland loses his passport in the territory of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, the Czech legislation requires the competent Czechoslovak authorities to understand about the loss and to issue a certificate of notification of the loss. '
