Decree of the Ministry of Interior
of 18 January 1950
on changes to the official names of the places in 1949.
According to Article 5 of the Act of 14 April 1920, No 266 Coll., on the names of cities, municipalities, settlements and streets, as well as the labelling of municipalities by local tables and house numbering, I declare that in 1949 the following new official names were established:
1. In Prague:
In the Kreis Benešov:
for the settlement Podmaršovice also Fremutov (local municipality of Maršovice) exclusive name Podmaršovice.
In the district of Brandés nad Labem:
for the municipality of Břaddim the name Břaddim, in which the names of the settlements are not changed.
In Kladno county:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Hnidous and Motyčina the name Švermov; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In Kralupy nad Vltavou county:
for the settlement Paršenk (local village Hospozín) name Hospozinek.
In the district of Mladá Bloslav:
for the village resulting from the merger of Mladá Bloslav, Čejtice, Debra, Temple, Jemníky and Kosmonos the name Mladá Byslav; the names of the merged municipalities and their settlements remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In Poděbrady district:
the name of the village Nová Báň belonging to the village Žehuni becomes the official name of the part of the village Hradčany, to which this settlement was attached.
In Praha- west district:
for the municipality Horní Ptice the name Ptice; the previous names Lower Ptice and Upper Ptice are deleted as the names of the settlements which have ceased to be merged.
In the Kreis Příbram:
for municipalities resulting from the separation of the village Jablonné the names Jablonná and Kachín.
In the Votice district:
for the municipality of Kamberk name Zlaté Hora.

In the district of Český Krumlov:
for the settlement Český Manávu (local village Hodňov) the name Manávka;
in the municipality of Muckov:
for the Emry settlement name Bednář; and

for the municipality and settlement of Ves Železnou Rudu the name Špičák; the local parts of this settlement called Ves Železná Ruda and Špičák blend into a single local part under the name Špičák.
In the Kreis Pilsen:
for the village of Brozek the name Česká Bříza.
In the district of Rokycany:
for the municipality of Cinnamon the name Cinnamon (in plural).
In the Kreis Tachov:
for the village of Cirk (local village of Rozvadov) the name Polesí;
for the village Újezce name Újezd pod Prímdou;

for the municipality of Pleil the name Černý Potok; the names Pleil and Sorgenthal are deleted as the names of the settlements which have ceased to be merged.
In the Kreis Kadana:
for the village and settlement Český Rohozec the name Kadanský Rohozec;
for the village Haadorf (local village Kunov) name Vysoká;
for the village of Orpus (local village of Dolina) the name Interlesí near the Aděčnice.
In Karlovy Vary:
for the municipality of Funkštejn the name Háje;
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Karlovy Vary, Bohemian, Brejová, Doubí, Drahovic, Dvory, Olšova Vrat and Fishermen the name Karlovy Vary; the names of the merged municipalities and their settlements remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality;
for the municipality Kysibl name Stružná;
for the municipality of Olitzhaus the name of Doupovský Interestesi.
In Podborany county:
for the municipality of Třebčice, the name Nové Třebčice;
for the municipality German Rohozec name Podbořanský Rohozec;
for the settlement Špicberk (local village Podštěly) name Chýšky.
In Sokolov county:
for the municipality Kloben name Hlavno.

In the district of Bílina:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Bílina and Chuderice the name Bílina; the names of the merged municipalities remain the official names of the part of the new municipality; the name of the Krupé settlement (the local municipality of Svitec) is deleted since the settlement has ceased to exist.
In Decin County:
for the municipality of Lower Grunt nad Labem the name of Lower Žleb;
for the village and settlement of the Middle Grunt the name of the Middle Žleb and for the settlement of the Upper Grunt the name of the Upper Žleb.
In the District of Duchcov:
for the settlement Rýzmburk (local village Osek) name of the Castle Osek.
In the Kreis Litvinov (formerly Horní Litvinov):
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Lower Litvinov, Upper Litvinov, Chuderín, Louky and Rauschengrund, the name Litvinov; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In Teplice county:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Bohosudova and Nové Modlan, the name Bohosudov; the names of the merged municipalities remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality;
for the municipality of Cinvald the name Cínovec and for its local parts the names Front and Back Cinvald the names Front and Rear Cínovec;
for the municipality of Cukmantl the name Pozka;
for the municipality of Grünvald, the name of the pasture;
for the village Mückenberg 1st part (local village Horní Krupka) name Komáří Horka 1st part and for the village Mückenberg 2nd part (local village Fojtovice) name Komáří Horka 2nd part.
In Ústí nad Labem district:
for the municipality Brnou name Brná nad Labem;
for the settlement Cukmantl (local village Ždár) the name Žďárek;
for the village Zálezly (formerly in the judicial district Litoměřice) the name Horní Zálešly and for the second village Zálešly (formerly in the judicial district Ústí nad Labem) the name Lower Zálešly.
In Žatec county:
for the municipality of Spolesuka the name of the Vicletice; the names of the settlements of this municipality remain unchanged.

In the Kreis Frýdlant:
for the municipality of Bernsdorf pod Smrkem the name of the Upper Lash;
for the municipality Rückersdorf name Lower Lásnice.
In Liberec:
for the municipality Hodkovice the name Hodkovice nad Mohelkou;
for the village of Kühthal (local village of Spa Kundratice) name Podvrší.
7. In Hradec:
In Dobruška county:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Dobruška and Mělčan, the name Dobruška; the names of the merged municipalities and their settlements remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality;
for the municipality created by the merger of New Town nad Metují and Krčín the name Nové Město nad Metují; the names of the merged municipalities and their settlements remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In the Kreis Králové nad Labem:
for the village Horní Grunt (local village Harcov) the name Horní Žíbek;
for the municipality created by the merger of Mestyse Žireč and Vsi Žireč the name Žireč; the names Mestys Žireč and Ves Žireč shall cease.
In the district of Horice:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Hořice and Libonic name Hořice; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In Jaroměr county:
for the settlement Dolní Grunt (local village Chvalkovice) the name Dolní Žíbek;
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Jaroměř and Josef, the name Jaroměř; the names of the merged municipalities and their settlements remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In the Náhod district:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Big Timber and Low Timber, the name Big Timber; names Big Timber and Low The wood remains the official names of the parts of the new village. The name of the village of the Centre becomes the official name of the part of the village of Žabohny to which this settlement was attached.
In the district of Rychnov nad Knežnou:
for the village of Libstejn (the local village of Hell above the Zdobnice) name Letná.
In Trutnov county:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Great Úpa I and Great Úpa II, the name Great Úpa; the names of the merged municipalities remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality;
for the village of Great Úpa III name Pec pod Snezkou.
In the Kreis Vrchlabí:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Špindlerův Mlýn and Bedřich the name of Špindlerův Mlýn; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
8. In Pardubice:
In the Kreis Choteboř:
for the municipality of Borová the name Havlickova Borová;
for the municipality of Kruburgk name Crožová.
In the Kreis Chrudim:
the name of the settlement Zdežovic, formerly belonging to the village Kostelec near Høman's Town, becomes the official name of the part of the village Úherčic to which the settlement was attached;
for the village and settlement of German Lhotice name Nové Lhotice.
In the district of Litomyšl:
for municipalities resulting from the separation of the village of Pazucha the names Pazucha and Strakov.
In the county of Ústí nad Orlicí:
for the village created by the merger České Třebová and Parník the name Česká Třebová; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
9. In the county of Jihlava:
In the Kreis Dachice:
for the settlement Osoudov (local village Knínice) name Bohusoudov.
In the Kreis Jihlava:
for the village Popice name Popice u Jihlava.
In the Kreis Treštík:
for the village Falknov (local village Produkovice) name Sokolíčko.
In the ŽDár district:
in the municipality of Stříbrné Hora, the names of Stříbrné Hora and Střelcová are deleted as the names of settlements which have ceased to be merged.
10. In Brno:
In Brno:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Chrlic and Pink name Chrlice; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In the district of Bučovice:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Kojatek and Šardicek the name Kojatky; the names of the merged municipalities remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality;
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Letošova and Nesovic, the name Nesovice; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In the Kreis Mikulov:
for the municipality of Kharvátský (běv Frélichov) the name Yevishovka;
for the municipality of Fryshau, the name Břežany;
for the municipality Pratlsbrun name Březí;
for the municipality of Pulgary the name of Bulgaria.
In the district of Moravská Trebová:
for the village of Derflík the name of Víka u Ječíčka.
In the district of Moravský Krumlov:
for the municipalities resulting from the separation of the municipality of Miroslavi the names Miroslav and Miroslavský Knínice;
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Babic, Lidmeřice, Olbramovice and Želovice, the name Olbramovice; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In Rosice district:
for the village Popovice name Vysoké Popovice.
In Slavkov county:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Jezer and Oběřice the name Oběřice; the names of the merged municipalities remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality;
for the municipality resulting from the merger Třebolovice and Žatčan the name Žatčany; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In the Svitavy district:
for the municipality Břečová name Břežová nad Svitavou;
for the municipality of Grándorf name Hradec nad Svitavou.
In the county of Vyškov:
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Hoštice and Heroltic name Hoštice-Heroltice; the names of the merged municipalities remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality;
for the municipality resulting from the merger of German Prus and Pustimeter the name Pustimetera; the names of the merged municipalities remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality, with the change in that the name of the German Prussia is replaced by the name of Pustimeter Prussia;
for the municipality resulting from the merger of Rousínov, Rousínovice and Slavíkovice the name Rousínov; the names of the merged municipalities shall remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality.
In the Znojmo district:
for the municipality resulting from the merger Bohunice and Prosimedic name Prosimeřice; the names of the merged municipalities remain the official names of the parts of the new municipality;
