on the Convention on Social Policy Cooperation between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia.
On 22 May 1957, the Convention on Social Policy Cooperation between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia was negotiated in Belgrade.
The President of the Republic ratified the Convention on 27 September 1957 and the instruments of ratification were exchanged in Prague on 28 November 1957.
Pursuant to Article 11 of the Convention, the Convention entered into force on 28 December 1957.

CONVENTION
on cooperation in the field of social policy between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia
The Czechoslovak Republic and the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia, in an effort to develop mutual cooperation in the field of social policy and in the belief that such cooperation will serve to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries, have decided to conclude the Convention on Cooperation in the field of social policy and have therefore agreed on the following provisions:
(1) The Parties will cooperate in the field of social policy in order to deepen social progress both in their own countries and internationally.
(2) The Parties agree to support and develop in particular the exchange of experience and cooperation between competent authorities, scientific institutes and social organisations; the provision of information on social policy development and the exchange of relevant material; the organisation of lectures and visits by social experts; exchange of scientific, professional, statistical and other social policy publications.
(1) The Contracting Parties shall promote mutual recovery and treatment of children, youth and workers.
(2) Closer to be determined by agreement of the competent authorities of both Contracting Parties.
The Parties will cooperate on international social services issues, in particular on identifying missing persons data, identifying documents and reporting, addressing individual personal and family issues, etc.
Citizens of one Contracting Party, employed in the territory of the other Contracting Party, are treated in the field of labour law as equivalent to their own citizens.
(1) Citizens of one Contracting Party who are resident in the territory of the other Contracting Party are treated (treatment, monetary assistance, home accommodation and the like) in the same field as their own citizens.
(2) No compensation shall be requested from the party to whom the citizen has been provided.
Relations in the field of social security (security) are governed by a special convention.
Persons who receive a pension or other recurrent cash benefit from the authority of one Contracting Party and who are not covered by the Convention on Social Insurance, concluded between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia (members of the armed forces, military disabled persons, victims of war or fascist terror, recipients of social assistance - Articles 34 and 35 of that Convention) shall, during their stay in the territory of the other Contracting Party, provide the necessary preventive and medical care to the competent authorities of that Contracting Party under the same conditions and to the same extent as their own recipients of those benefits. The implementation of this Article shall be treated mutatis mutandis in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Convention on Social Insurance between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia.
(1) The Parties shall establish a Joint Committee of Parity. Each Contracting Party shall appoint three members of this Commission. The Joint Commission will act as an initiative and advisory body. Its main task will be to propose measures of a fundamental nature for the implementation of this Convention and to prepare a draft annual social policy cooperation plan.
(2) The Joint Commission will normally meet once a year, alternately in the Czechoslovak Republic and the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia. The Commission will act in accordance with the Rules of Procedure on which it will act.
(3) The Joint Commission may also discuss fundamental issues in the field of social insurance (security).
(4) The proposals of the Joint Commission are subject to approval by both governments.
(1) The Contracting Parties shall communicate to each other within one month of the date of entry into force of this Convention which institutions are competent to implement it; they shall also communicate to each other without delay any changes.
(2) The competent authorities shall immediately associate with each other and shall inform each other of any measures taken to implement this Convention.
The documents, documents and other files to be submitted in connection with the implementation of this Convention may be drawn up in any of the official languages of one or other Contracting Parties and shall be exempt from all fees and from official verification by diplomatic or consular authorities.
(1) This Convention shall be ratified. The instruments of ratification will be exchanged in Prague.
(2) The Convention will enter into force on the 30th day following the replacement of the instruments of ratification.
(3) Each Contracting Party may denounce this Convention at least 6 months before the end of the calendar year. The denunciation will be effective from the first January next year.
Written in Belgrade on 22 May 1957 in two original copies, each in the Czech language and in the Serbian language, the two texts being equally authentic.
