on the negotiation of Supplement 2 to the Protocol between the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic on cooperation in the education and training of professional soldiers and civil servants of the Ministry of Defence
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that on 4 December 2024, in Liptovský Mikuláš, Supplement 2 to the Protocol between the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic on cooperation in the education and training of professional soldiers and civil servants of the Defence Department (1) was signed.
The supplement has entered into force on the date of signature of its Article 2.
The Czech text of the Supplement is hereby published at the same time.

Appendix 2
to the Protocol
between
Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic
and Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic
on cooperation in the field of education and training
professional soldiers and civil servants
Ministry of Defence
the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as the "Contracting Parties'),
BASED ON ARTICLE 14 (3) Protocol between the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic on cooperation in the education and training of professional soldiers and civil servants of the Ministry of Defence, signed in Brno on 2 April 2004, as amended by its Supplement signed in Prague on 11 September 2008 and 25 September 2008 in Bratislava ("the Protocol '),
agree as follows:
Article 1
Article 3 of the Protocol reads as follows:
"The implementation of this Protocol shall be entrusted to:
- by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic - Section of the Secretary of State,
- the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic - Section of Personnel and Social Activities. ';
Article 5 (3) of the Protocol reads as follows:
'3. Nominal lists of students sent to study shall be sent to the Contracting Parties within the deadline specified in the implementing arrangements. ';
3. Article 5 (4) of the Protocol reads as follows:
"4. The competent authority of the sending Contracting Party shall ensure that students are admitted to military schools within the time limit specified in the implementing arrangements and that students are returned from leave before the beginning of the study. If a student does not take up a military school without giving serious reasons within the prescribed time limit, he may not be enrolled in the study unless he has requested a replacement for the study in accordance with the conditions for admission to the study programme. Recurrent admission of a student who did not take place within the prescribed time limit shall not be possible until the next period following a new application for admission. '
4. Article 6 (1) The following words shall be deleted: "Acceptance tests shall not be carried out."
(5) Article 6 (2) of the Protocol reads as follows:
'2. Prior to joining the military school, the student is required to submit, in particular, certified copies of the educational documents in the term and form provided for by the Conditions for Admission to Study in the Study Programme. "
6. Article 7 the Protocol is replaced by a comma in paragraph 1 at the end of point (g) and the following point (h) is added:
"(h) a scholarship under the conditions laid down by the national law of the State of the receiving Contracting Party and by the internal rules of the military school.";
7. Article 7 The text of paragraph 3 of the Protocol shall be replaced by "deleted '.
Article 2
This supplement shall take effect on the date of signature and shall remain in force throughout the period of validity of the Protocol.
On 4 December 2024, Dane in Liptovský Mikuláš in two original copies, each in the Czech and Slovak languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
