DECLARATION
Ministry of Justice of the Czech Socialist Republic
of 23 January 1985
amending Decree No. 37 / 1967 of the Ministry of Justice Coll., to implement the Law on Experts and Interpreters
The Ministry of Justice of the Czech Socialist Republic provides pursuant to § 26 of Act No. 36 / 1967 Coll., on Experts and Interpreters:
Decree of the Ministry of Justice No. 37 / 1967 Coll., implementing the Law on Experts and Interpreters, is amended as follows:
Article 1 (7) (2) reads as follows:
"(2) The administration of the courts shall issue to the expert (interpreter) a certificate authorising him to order and take over the seal on his cargo."
2.
Rate of remuneration for interpretation activities
(1) The remuneration for interpretation shall be:
| Pol. 1: Při ústním překladu z cizího jazyka do češtiny nebo slovenštiny, anebo naopak, za jednu hodinu | až 25 Kčs. |
| Pol. 2: Při ústním překladu z cizího jazyka do cizího jazyka náleží odměna podle položky 1, zvýšená | až o 50 %. |
Pol. 3: On written translation into Czech or Slovak
| a) z cizího jazyka, s výjimkou čínštiny, korejštiny, japonštiny a dalších znakových jazyků, za jednu stránku překladu | až 20 Kčs, |
| b) z čínštiny, korejštiny, japonštiny a dalších znakových jazyků za jeden slovní znak | až 0,40 Kčs. |
Pol. 4: On written translation from Czech or Slovak
| a) do cizího jazyka, s výjimkou čínštiny, korejštiny, japonštiny a dalších znakových jazyků, za jednu stránku překladu | až 30 Kčs, |
| b) do čínštiny, korejštiny, japonštiny a dalších znakových jazyků za jeden slovní znak | až 0,70 Kčs. |
| Pol. 5: Při písemném překladu z cizího jazyka do cizího jazyka náleží odměna podle položky 4, zvýšená | až o 50 %. |
(2) In determining the remuneration referred to in paragraph 1 (1), (2), (3) (a), (4) (a) and (5), account shall be taken of the difficulties of a foreign language, in particular whether it is a language of European origin or a language of non-European origin or a local language.
(3) For translations of texts from Czech to Slovak or vice versa, the reward for one page of translation is up to 10 Kčs. "
Article 3 (18) reads:
Translation testing
(1) The remuneration for language examination of translation is:
(a) for all languages, except those referred to in (b) and (3), for one page of the translation of up to 5 Cds;
(b) for Chinese, Korean, Japanese and other sign languages, for one word sign up to 0,10 CZK.
(2) For the language examination of a particularly professional translation, the reward for 1 page of the translation is up to 7 Ccs.
(3) For language examination of translation from Czech to Slovak and vice versa, the reward is up to 1.50 CZK per page.
(4) For the professional examination of translation, the remuneration referred to in paragraphs 1 to 3 shall be increased by up to 30%.
(5) If the translation of the translation text had to be examined mainly or completely revised, the remuneration may be paid up to the amount not paid for that reason to the interpreter (§ 27) if it is more advantageous for the interpreter who carried out the examination. '

Increase in remuneration for interpretation
(1) The remuneration for the interpretation provided for in Article 17 (1) (1) and (2) may be increased by:
(a) up to 20% for interpretation of particularly precise or expert interpretation,
(b) up to 10% for interpreting African and Asian languages.
(2) The remuneration for the interpretation provided for in Article 17 (1) (3), (4), (5) and (3) may be increased by:
(a) up to 50% if the translation is particularly technical;
(b) up to 30% if the translation is made from a tape recorder or other audio recording;
(c) up to 20% because of the different complexity of the translation, in particular if the text is difficult to read or if urgent translation is necessary.
(3) When interpreting expressions in contact with deaf-mute persons, the remuneration referred to in Paragraph 17 (1) (b) may be increased by up to 10% if the deaf-mute is affected by a mental disorder or is not well controlled by the communication method.
(4) The increases referred to in paragraph 1 (a), (b) and (3) may be combined; the increases referred to in paragraph 2 (a) to (c) may also be combined. ';
5. Article 24 (2) reads as follows:
"(2) One page of the translation means a text written by a machine containing 30 lines of 60 angles (when writing with a pearl of 72 angles), including spaces. An incomplete page is considered as a whole when the text or its complete part is closed. '
Interpretation actions carried out before the date of entry into force of this decree shall be remunerated in accordance with the existing rules.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 March 1985.
