extending the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Czechoslovak Republic and the People's Republic of Mongolia of 8 April 1957
The validity of the Cultural Cooperation Agreement between the Czechoslovak Republic and the People's Republic of Mongolia, signed in Ulanbatar on 8 April 1957, was extended until 8 April 1972 by exchange of a note held on 5 May 1967.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

AGREEMENT
on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Republic and the People's Republic of Mongolia
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic and the Council of Ministers of the People's Republic of Mongolia, in an effort to strengthen friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries and to deepen cooperation through mutual recognition of culture, art, science, education, education, education, sport, education, physical sciences and sports, have decided to conclude this cultural cooperation agreement and have appointed their agents:

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
who have agreed on the following provisions following the exchange of full powers which have been found to be in good and proper form:
The Parties shall promote the development and consolidation of direct cooperation between cultural, scientific and awareness-raising institutions, schools, physical and sports organisations of both countries.
Both Parties will identify the widest layers of their country's population with cultural wealth and achieved results in the various sectors of life and work of the peoples of the other country. To this end, they shall support:
(a) close cooperation between scientists, professors, teachers, school and physical workers;
(b) exchange of students for study at universities and vocational schools and for production or other professional practice;
c) Study of Mongolian language in the Czechoslovak Republic and Czech and Slovak language in the People's Republic of Mongolia by mutual exchange of lecturers,
(d) organising lectures on language, literature and other issues of culture and science in the other country;
(e) exchange and translation of scientific and study literature, methodological materials and exchange of professional films for study purposes.
The Parties shall contribute to mutual understanding of the cultural wealth of the peoples of both countries by supporting:
(a) mutual visits to writers, composers, artists, theatrical staff and artists;
b) mutual tours of soloists, conductors, art groups, sets of theatres,
(c) publishing translations of literary works, reproduction of works of art, publications on the life and culture of the peoples of the other country;
(d) organisation of art and scientific and popular exhibitions;
(e) cooperation between physical organisations and the posting of athletes to international enterprises in both countries.
In order to get to know the life and work of the people of both countries as soon as possible, both Parties will encourage the cooperation of press agencies, press organisations, cinematography, radio and mutual visits of journalists and press workers.
In order to fulfil the obligations under this Agreement, both Parties shall designate representatives by diplomatic means who shall jointly draw up a cultural cooperation plan for a period of one year. The plan shall be subject to approval by both Parties. The costs of negotiating an annual cultural cooperation plan shall be borne by the Party in whose territory the negotiations shall take place.
Financial issues related to the implementation of cultural cooperation actions under this Agreement shall be dealt with on a reciprocal basis at the same time as the establishment of an annual cultural cooperation work plan.
Formerly concluded agreements between individual departments, institutions or organisations of both countries shall remain in force unless they conflict with the provisions of this Agreement.
The Agreement shall be concluded for a period of 5 years, unless one of the Contracting Parties notifies its wish to revoke it six months before the expiry of that period, the Agreement shall remain in force for another five years.
This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of signature. To prove this, the agents of both parties signed this agreement and attached their seals to it.
Written in Ulanbátar on 8 April 1957 in duplicate, each in Czech and Mongolian languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
