on the Agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
On 14 March 1964, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was signed in Belgrade.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic gave its consent to the Agreement on 3 June 1964.
The Agreement entered into force, on the basis of Article 11 thereof, on the date of the exchange of approval notes, i.e. 3 July 1964.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

AGREEMENT
on cooperation in the field of tourism between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, aiming to expand cooperation in the field of tourism in the interests of both countries, have agreed as follows:
The Parties will promote and facilitate travel of tourist groups and individual tourists from one country to another to visit tourist and historical places, fairs, exhibitions and cultural, sports and other businesses.
The Contracting Parties shall take measures to facilitate border, customs and other formalities linked to the crossing of the border of tourists of the two States.
For the development of tourism, the Contracting Parties shall take measures to facilitate transport links between the two States.
The Contracting Parties shall allow the cooperation of the authorities of the two States responsible for tourism care and other organisations and institutions involved in the development of tourism by the necessary measures.
The Parties shall promote cooperation between tourism organisations, in particular:
- the implementation of tourist propaganda and information services in both States;
- development of programmes and travel arrangements for tourist visits between the two states.
The Parties shall promote and facilitate meetings of experts and exchange of experience in the field of tourism with a particular focus on the study of issues.
- drawing up long-term tourist development plans;
- building of hotel, restaurant and other tourist facilities;
- the system and programme of vocational training of tourist cadres;
- organisation and implementation of tourist propaganda and information services.
Tourism cooperation shall be carried out in accordance with the rules governing the activity of both States in that area.
The Agreement will be implemented in cooperation with the competent authorities of both States and will be consulted with the Czechoslovak-Yugoslav Committee on Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation on major issues.
The scope of tourist services will be discussed separately for each year in the negotiations on the Protocol on the Exchange of Goods between the two Parties.
The Agreement shall be concluded for a period of 5 years and shall be tacitly extended for a further year, unless one of the Contracting Parties denies it, not later than 6 months before its expiry.
The Agreement shall be subject to approval by the Governments of both Contracting Parties and shall enter into force in exchange for a note of such approval.
This Agreement was drawn up in Belgrade on 14 March 1964 in duplicate, in the Czech language and in the language of SerboCroatian, the two texts being equally authentic.
