on the Cultural Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Angola
On 30 August 1978, the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Angola was signed in Luanda. The Agreement entered into force on the date of signature of Article 10 thereof.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

AGREEMENT
on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Angola
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Angola,
led by wishes
further expand and consolidate contacts between the two countries, based on mutual friendship and understanding; and
develop cooperation in the fields of culture, education, science, health, mass media, physical education and sport,
they have agreed as follows:
The Parties shall promote cultural contacts between the two countries and contribute to the mutual recognition of the cultural wealth of the peoples of the two countries and the progress made in the fields of culture, education, science, art and other areas referred to in this Agreement.
The Parties shall promote cooperation and exchange of experience between cultural, educational, scientific, medical, artistic and literary institutions and organisations, as well as social organisations of both countries.
In the agreed areas, the Parties will support the exchange of representatives of culture and art and artistic and folklore sets.
The Parties shall promote the exchange of musical, theatre and film works, the organisation of lectures and exhibitions and the publication of translations of the scientific and artistic literature of the other country.
The Parties shall promote the mutual transmission of scientists, professors and students and shall grant scholarships to citizens of the other country for study, study visits and internships.
The Parties will invite each other to conferences, congresses, exhibitions, festivals, cultural celebrations and events of an international nature to take place in the other country.
The Parties shall promote mutual cooperation in the fields of radio, television, film and press agencies of both countries.
The Contracting Parties shall, in order to implement this Agreement, negotiate implementation plans for the agreed period of time for each action, including financial terms and conditions.
This Agreement may be amended or supplemented by mutual agreement of the Contracting Parties.
This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of signature and shall remain in force for two years, by which it shall be automatically extended until one of the Contracting Parties has notified it in writing at least three months before the expiry of the current period of validity.
To prove the signed agents who were duly empowered by their governments, they signed this agreement and sealed it.
Done at Luanda, 30 August 1978 in two original copies, each in the Czech and Portuguese languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
