The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that on 15 April 1999 the Appendix to the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Russian Federation on Nuclear Energy Cooperation concluded on 4 December 1994, published under No. 171 / 1995 Coll.
The Appendix entered into force on the date of signature.
Czech version The supplement is announced simultaneously.

APPENDIX
to the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Russian Federation on Nuclear Energy Cooperation concluded on 4 December 1994
Government of the Czech Republic and Government of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as "the Parties'),
in accordance with Article 11 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Russian Federation on Nuclear Energy Cooperation concluded on 4 December 1994 ("the Agreement '),
agree on the following:
Article 2 (3) of the Agreement shall read as follows:
"production and supply of nuclear fuel for Czech nuclear power plants and research reactors; '.
Article 4 The following paragraph shall be added:
"The Czech uranium concentrate is supplied to the Russian Federation as an appropriate substitute for the Russian uranium concentrate used for the production of fuel supplied to the Czech Republic. The delivery periods shall be specified in the contracts concluded. ';
Article 5 The Agreement shall be replaced by the following:
"The Russian Party (at the request of the Czech Party) ensures the collection of spent and irradiated nuclear fuel intended for reprocessing produced in the Russian Federation and used in the energy and research reactors of the Czech Republic. Radioactive wastes resulting from reprocessing of spent and irradiated nuclear fuel are returned to the Czech Republic.
The supply of nuclear fuel and the receipt of spent and irradiated fuel for reprocessing shall take place on the basis of contracts concluded between Czech and Russian organisations, in which they shall be determined for each individual case, in accordance with the legal rules of the two States, the conditions for receiving and returning radioactive waste and final re-processing products. ';
This Appendix shall form an integral part of the Agreement.
This Appendix shall enter into force on the date of its signature.
Done at Moscow, 15 April 1999, in two original copies, each in the Czech and Russian languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
