ORDER
GOVERNMENTS OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC
of 16 March 2020
on the adoption of crisis measures
Following the Government Resolution 194 of 12 March 2020, in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of Constitutional Act No. 110 / 1998 Coll., on the Security of the Czech Republic, the Government declared emergency status for the territory of the Czech Republic because of a health threat related to the detection of coronavirus / referred to as SARS CoV-2 / in the territory of the Czech Republic and, within the meaning of § 5 (a) to (e) and § 6 of the Act No. 240 / 2000 Coll., on crisis management and on the amendment of certain laws (Crisis Act), as amended, for dealing with a crisis situation, the adoption of emergency measures, by virtue of § 5 (c) and § 21 (2) (b) of the Crisis Act.
Government
I. recommends that persons over 70 years of age do not go outside their homes for the duration of the emergency situation, except for a visit to a health care facility to ensure urgent medical care;
II. Instructs the mayors of municipalities to provide assistance to those referred to in paragraph 1 of this resolution to deal with basic living needs, including the purchase of food and medicines.
