GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 22 March 2016
on the occupation of soldiers in active duty to carry out tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic in connection with security measures taken following terrorist attacks in Belgium
The Government orders pursuant to § 22 paragraphs 1 and 2 of Act No. 273 / 2008 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic, and pursuant to Act No. 219 / 1999 Coll., on the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, as amended:
In order to carry out the tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic in order to ensure internal order and security in order to protect the lives, health and property of persons and to implement security measures taken in connection with terrorist attacks in Belgium, a maximum of 550 soldiers in active service are called.
Soldiers in active service carry out tasks under Section 1 under the command of a member of the Police of the Czech Republic. Soldiers in active duty shall carry out the duties imposed on weapons and means of enforcement to the extent set out in Section 4.
The Minister of Defence shall designate soldiers in active service, including military equipment and equipment, to carry out the tasks referred to in Section 1.
Soldiers in active service called for the performance of tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic pursuant to § 1 have the authority and duties of a member of the Police of the Czech Republic to the extent set out in § 2, 3, 9, 10 to 13, 18, 20, 24 to 27, 34, 34a, 35, 37, 40 to 43, 51 to 59, 62, 63, 110, 111, 114 and § 115 of Act No. 273 / 2008 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic, as amended.
(1) This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
(2) This Regulation shall expire on 23 May 2016.
