concerning the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Austrian Federal Government on the entry into the part of the territory affected by the adjustments to border waters
On 11 May 1978, the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Austrian Federal Government on the entry into the part of the territory affected by adjustments to border waters was signed in Vienna.
The Agreement entered into force pursuant to Article 3 thereof on 10 July 1978.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Austrian Federal Government on the entry into the part of the territory affected by adjustments to border waters
Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Austrian Federal Government,
striving to develop mutual relations on the basis of the Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe,
agree as follows:
Citizens of one Contracting State who carry a valid officially issued photograph showing clearly their identity shall have the right to enter the part of the territory of the other Contracting State affected by the modifications of border waters and to stay there if:
1. the general use and use of these parts of the territory has been decided with legal effect under the Treaty between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Austria on the adaptation of water-related issues at border waters of 7 December 1967; and
2. the border waters have been translated into a modified trough.
The rights referred to in Article 1 shall remain valid for the period of legal validity of the decision on the general use and use of the relevant parts of the territory.
(1) This Agreement shall enter into force 60 days after its signature.
(2) The Agreement is negotiated for an indefinite period. It shall expire three months after one of the Contracting States denies it in writing through diplomatic channels.
Done at Vienna, 11 May 1978, in duplicate, each in the Czech and German languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
