GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 9 March 2009
on the transmission of information relating to international shipments of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel
The Government mandates the implementation of Act No. 18 / 1997 Coll., on the Peaceful Use of Nuclear Energy and Ionizing Radiation (Atomic Act) and on the Amendment and Addition of Certain Acts, as amended by Act No. 83 / 1998 Coll., Act No. 71 / 2000 Coll., Act No. 132 / 2000 Coll., Act No. 13 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 310 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 320 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 279 / 2003 Coll., Act No. 186 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 296 / 2007 Coll., Act No. 124 / 2008 Coll., Act No. 189 / 2008 Coll., Act No. 413 / 2005 Coll., Act No. 342 / 2006 Coll.
This Regulation implements the relevant European CommunityRegulation (1) and provides for the transmission of information in connection with international shipments of radioactive waste or spent nuclear fuel ("transport ').
State Office for Nuclear Security
(a) immediately inform the competent authority of the State to which the shipment relates of the authorisation to carry;
(b) confirms receipt of an application for authorisation to transport to the competent authority of another Member State of the European Community;
(c) inform without delay the competent authorities of the States concerned by the shipment that it has decided to terminate the shipment;
(d) notify the European Commission of any cases of unjustified delay or lack of cooperation by the competent authorities of another Member State of the European Community.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
