on the First Additional Protocol to the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Insurance of 5 April 1948.
The First Additional Protocol to the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Insurance of 5 April 1948 was negotiated in Warsaw on 30 September 1955.
President of the Republic The first Additional Protocol was ratified on 22 December 1956 and the instruments of ratification were exchanged in Prague on 27 February 1957.
According to its § 4 The first Additional Protocol entered into force on the date of the replacement of the instruments of ratification, i.e. 27 February 1957.
The Czech version of the First Additional Protocol to the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Insurance of 5 April 1948 is hereby published in the Annex to the Collection of Laws. *)

FIRST ADDITIONAL PROTOCOL
to the Convention of 5 April 1948 between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Insurance
The President of the Czechoslovak Republic and the State Council of the People's Republic of Poland, led by their wish to amend the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Insurance, signed in Warsaw on 5 April 1948, decided to conclude an Additional Protocol to this Convention and appointed their Agents to do so:

who have agreed on the following provisions following the exchange of full powers which have been found to be in good and proper form:
1. In Article 14 (2) of the Second Convention, the sixth sentence of the following text is deleted:
"If, however, pensions are provided at a fixed rate independent of the length of the insured period, two thirds of the pension shall be deemed to be basic. ';
2. In Article 14 (3) of the Third Convention, the words:
"at least 12 deductible contribution months (52 contribution weeks) 'means at least 6 deductible contribution months or 6 months of employment (26 contribution weeks or 26 weeks of employment).
In Article 20 (1) of the First Convention, the following provision shall be inserted after the second sentence:
"In such cases, however, the payment of the pension for the previous period shall be made in accordance with national rules on the limitation of pension payments, taking as a basis the period during which the application to initiate proceedings is made. ';
Article 22 of the Convention shall read as follows:
"The highest administrative offices within the meaning of this Convention shall be the competent ministries, central offices and central authorities of trade unions in both States. '
This Protocol shall be subject to ratification and shall become effective on the date of the exchange of instruments of ratification. The instruments of ratification will be exchanged in Prague.
The provisions of this Protocol shall apply provisionally as from the date of its signature.
This Protocol shall have the same duration as the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Insurance of 5 April 1948.
This Protocol was drawn up in Warsaw on 30 September 1955 in duplicate, each in the Czech and Polish languages, in which both texts are equally authentic.
