DECLARATION
of 22 December 2020
on determining the necessary level of knowledge of the Czech language and equivalent language examinations for interpretation
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports provides, pursuant to § 7 (4) of Act No. 354 / 2019 Coll., on Judicial Interpreters and Judicial Translators:
Required level of knowledge of the Czech language
In order to perform interpretation activities, language knowledge is required at least at C1 level under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Equivalent language examinations
The equivalent language examinations for testing from the Czech language as a foreign language are
(a) individual examinations or tests corresponding to the Czech language and literature examination according to the Education Act (1),
(b) a national language examination general of the Czech language; or
c) state language exam special from the Czech language.
Efficacy
This Decision shall enter into force on 1 January 2021.
