of 16 January 1967
on the establishment of the Pienin National Park
The Bureau of the Slovak National Council according to § 10 (1) of the Slovak National Council Act No. 1 / 1955 Coll. SNR, on the state conservation of nature orders:
§ 1
Pienin National Park
(1) The territory of Pienin in the Poprad district as defined in the Annex to this Regulation comprises the National Park of Pienin (hereinafter referred to as the National Park).
(2) The mission of the National Park is to preserve, renew, protect and enhance its nature with natural wealth and landscape beauty due to its culturally scientific, aquatic, health and tourism importance.
§ 2
National park territory
(1) The territory of the national park is located in the catalogues of the municipalities of Lesnica, Veľký Lipník, Haligovka, Lechnica and Red Monastery. The national park is 2125 ha.
(2) The national park shall include:
a) State nature reserve "Pieniny - Prielom Dunajca."
b) Protected natural creation "Haligov rocks."
(c) Protected natural creation "Prielom of the Forest Brook - Duck."
Their total area is 472,79 ha.
(3) The definition of protected areas and creations forming part of a national park is set out in the Annex to this Regulation.
§ 3
Protection zone
(1) A protection zone is defined for the national park in Poprad county.
(2) The protection zone shall include:
a) Protected natural creation of the "Lake Lakes."
b) Protected natural creation "Jarabin Prielom."
c) Protected natural creation "Travertine Jazierko Krater."
Their total area is 54.16 ha.
(3) The definition of the protection zone and the protected creation forming part of the protection zone is set out in the Annex to this Regulation.
Protection and security of the national park and its protection zone
§ 4
(1) The national park needs to create favourable conditions for the preservation and creation of the natural environment and ensure the highest consistency of cultural and economic interests. It is therefore not allowed to damage the natural environment of the national park, in particular the overall nature of the landscape, vegetation and fauna.
(2) Planning, construction, agricultural and other economic activities, tourism, recreation and any other activity may only be carried out in the territory of the national park in accordance with its mission and needs, according to approved territorial plans; *) according to the principles contained in those plans, forestry activities must be carried out in the territory of the national park. Agricultural production will be developed in accordance with the specialisation of this area.
(3) In the protection zone, economic and other activities threatening the biological and aesthetic values of the national park shall be regulated in accordance with approved territorial plans.
§ 5
(1) The development of the national park is primarily by national committees active in its territory.
(2) Protection of the natural values of the national park is the responsibility of every visitor to the national park, as well as of the organisations and workers operating in its territory.
(3) The authorities and organisations which use the territory of the national park for their activities shall ensure, in particular, the organisation and operation of their facilities, the development and protection of that territory.
Management of national property
§ 6
(1) The National Park is managed and the tasks of the State Conservation of Nature are carried out by the Administration of the Pienin National Park (hereinafter referred to as the "Administration"), based in the Red Monastery. The administration is an organisation managed by the Slovak National Council.
(2) The tasks of the Administration will in particular ensure the protection and enhancement of the national park. All issues relating to the protection and development of the national park must be discussed with the Administration, in particular the coordination of economic, health and cultural interests within its territory; to that end, they shall be invited to any hearing concerning the national park. The competent authority may decide only after consulting the Administration.
§ 7
For fundamental issues of the protection and development of the National Park, the SNR Commissioner for Education and Culture shall, in agreement with the SNR Commissioner for Agriculture and after the observations of the Eastern Regional National Committee, establish an advisory, initiative and coordination body; its members shall be appointed from among the representatives of the management bodies of the Slovak National Council, representatives of the national committees and organisations active in the field of the national park, scientific institutions and social organisations, as well as conservation workers.
Final provisions
§ 8
Central governance and supervision in matters of national nature protection in the National Park shall be carried out by the SNR Commissioner for Education and Culture, who shall also monitor and monitor its versatile development and assist in the performance of its mission.
§ 9
Details of the protection and use of the National Park and its Protection Zone, the tasks and responsibilities of the Advisory Board and the organisation of the Administration shall be laid down by the Commission of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture together with the Commission of the Slovak National Council for Agriculture.
§ 10
The map of the national park with the enclosed protected areas with an annex with the relevant documentation is stored in the state lists of nature conservation at the Slovak Heritage and Nature Protection Institute in Bratislava and at the Regional Centre of State Heritage Care and Nature Conservation in Prešov.
§ 11
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1967.

Annex
to order the Bureau of the Slovak National Council

on the establishment of the Pienin National Park.
1. Definition of the National Park.
The Pienin National Park is situated between 49 ° 22 '30', 49 ° 25 '00 "N and 20 ° 25' 00" and 20 ° 31 '00 "E.
The border is drawn on map M 1: 25 000 (M-34 89-D-d Haligovka, M-34-90-C-c Veľký Lipník).
The border line begins on the banks of Dunajce in the village of Red Káštor at the border stone II / 105, continues towards the north-east stream of the river Dunajce (State border), in the direction of the river to the border stone II / 94, continues towards the eastern state border over the cubits of 704,4 (Kače), 741,8 (Šafranovka), 760,1, 844,6 (Rabštyn), towards the north edge of the village of Úľakhovka (Úľachovska), before which it turns west towards the point 784,2, continues along the field road, south direction on the cube 699,0, further south towards the south direction of the western direction of the kót 750,0, continues in the western direction of the north border of the village of Veľký Lipnik through the western border. The area of the national park is 2125 ha and is located in the cadastral territories of the municipalities: Lesnica, Veľký Lipník, Haligovka, Lechnica and the Red Monastery.
2. Definition of protected areas and creations forming part of the national park:
(a) the State Nature Reserve "Pieniny - Prielom Dunajca," kat. the territory of Z. Monastor, Lesnica, the County of Poprad; the stands belong to the "Pienina Protection District," based in the Red Monastery. These are 61 a-e, g, h, i, j, k, l, 62 a-d, 65 c, d, 66 a-d, 67 a-e, 68 a, barren areas: 41, 42, 54, 56, 57, 61, 90, 91. Total area 362.47 ha.
b) Protected natural creation of "Haligov rocks," kat. territory of Haligov, Poprad county. The Protected Territory consists of parcustoms numbers 299, 300, 306 (part), 308, 309 (part), 511. Total area 80.79 ha.
(c) Protected natural creation - "Prielom Forestry Brook - Kače," kat. territory of Lesnica, Poprad district, protected territory consists of parcustoms numbers: 1049 / 1, 1403 (part), 1410, 1411 / 5, 1411 / 6, 1515 (part). Total area 29,53 ha.
The border of protected areas which are part of the national park is drawn on the map of the forest management of Podolinec (status as of 1.1.1963).
3. Definition of the protection zone.
The border of the protection zone of the Pienin National Park is drawn on maps of 1: 50 000, M-34-89-C Osturňa, M-34-89-D Spišská Stará Ves, M-34- 90-C Jarabina, M-34- 101A Javorina, M-34- 101-B Spišská Belá, M-34- 102A Stará ubovňa.
The border line of the national park protection zone is based on the starting point from the contact between the border of the Tatra national park and the state border at booth 1011 (Brija vrch). It continues towards the northeast state border through the cubits: 929 (Cross Hill), 914, 986, 856 (Malorówka), 607, 873, 798 to the village of Lysá nad Dunajcom, continues towards the eastern stream of the river Danube in the direction of the river along the mouth of the Forestry creek. It continues in the direction of the eastern state border over the cubits of 704,4, 741,6 (Šafranovka), 774,9, 846 (Rabštyn), 901 (Šľachtovský vrch), 891, 935 (Na vrchu), 955 (Vrchlička), 862, 937, 931, 1024,5 (Heliašovka), 852, 871, 612 on the state road No 541 (Míšek - Old Lubovňka), continues in the southwest of the state road No 541 (Míšek - Stará ubovňa), to the Old Zalubovne and continues to the bridge over the Poprad River in the Old Lubovna. It continues in the south-west direction of the Poprad River, against the river's flow to the road bridge at booth 597 in Spišské Belej and continues in the western border of the TANAP protection zone following the crossroads in Tatranská Kotlina, continues in the north-west border of the Tatran National Park to the starting point at booth 1011 (Brija vrch).
4. The following protected creations are present in the protection zone:
(a) Protected natural creation of the "Lake Lakes" - kat. territory of the Lake, district Poprad, partariff number 1429, 50 m wide forest around the lake on plot 1379 (part). Total area 48,58 ha.
(b) Protected natural creation of "Jarabinský prielom" in kat. úz. Jarabina, Poprad county, parcustoms numbers 4922, 5025 / 3, 5040 (part), 5394 / 5 (part), 7714 (part). Total area 5,55 ha.
(c) Protected natural creation "Travertine Jazierko Krater," kat. territory Vyné Ružbachy, Poprad district, parcel number 366. Total area 284 m2.
Protected creations that are part of the protection zone are encoded on national maps 1: 5000 (Single Soil Record Map), on cadastral maps 1: 2880, 1: 1440.
