THE LAW
of 8 October 1992
amending Act No. 384 / 1990 Coll., on the definition of the competence of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic in matters of internal order and security, as amended by Act No. 127 / 1992 Coll., and Act No. 136 / 1991 Coll., on the division of competence between the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in matters of printing and other information
The Federal Assembly of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic decided on this law:
Čl. I
Act No 384 / 1990 Coll., on the definition of the competence of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic in matters of internal order and security, as amended by Act No. 127 / 1992 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. in Paragraph 1 (a):
"(a) obtain, concentrate, evaluate and protect foreign information relevant to the protection of the constitutional establishment and security of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic;"
2. in Paragraph 1 (b):
"(b) the fight against terrorism organised in conjunction with abroad;"
3. in Article 1 (i):
"(i) the rules governing the protection of national borders and the protection of national borders to the extent specified;"
4. the letter k shall be deleted in Paragraph 1.
Čl. II
Act No. 136 / 1991 Coll., on the division of competence between the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in matters of printing and other information means, is amended as follows:
1. in Article 1 (b), (c) and (d):
"(b) adopt legislation on the press, broadcasting and dissemination of agency intelligence;
(c) to grant, in agreement with the authorities of the Republics, licences for radio and television broadcasting, for the dissemination of agency intelligence in respect of entities operating under a law issued under subparagraph (b) throughout the Federation territory, or for such activities substantially exceeding the territory of one of the Republics, or for broadcasting licences from the territory of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic for Foreign Affairs;
(d) to manage publishing firms, as well as radio and television organisations, organisations to disseminate audiovisual programmes and agency intelligence in respect of entities operating in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. "

„§ 3
Legal and natural persons may establish and operate radio and television organisations and news agencies on the basis of a licence granted under the conditions laid down in the Federal Assembly Act. This does not apply to organisations established under § 2 (c). '
Čl. III
Legislation governing the conditions of Czechoslovak Radio, Czechoslovak Television and the Czechoslovak Press Office shall cease to apply on a date to be determined by the Federal Assembly Act adjusting the transfer of assets, rights and obligations from Czechoslovak Radio, Czechoslovak Television and Czechoslovak Press Office to the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.
Čl. IV
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
