AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the People's Revolutionary Council of Cambodia on the visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports and passports used for service travel
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the People's Revolutionary Council of Cambodia, led by the desire to consolidate and further develop friendly relations between the two countries and create favourable conditions for the travel of their citizens, have agreed on the following:
1. Citizens of one Contracting Party holding a valid diplomatic, service or special passport may enter the territory of the other Contracting Party for the purpose of temporary residence or transit and travel without visa.
2. Citizens of one Contracting Party holding a valid passport may enter the territory of the other Contracting Party for the purpose of temporary residence or transit and travel without a visa if they are on a business trip, which must be officially indicated in their passport or other document.
1. Persons referred to in Article 1 of this Agreement may stay in the territory of the other Contracting Party for the duration of their secondment or stay.
2. The provisions of paragraph 1 shall also apply to family members (spouses and minor children) who live or are registered with persons referred to in Article 1 of this Agreement in the common household, provided that they hold or are registered in the valid travel documents referred to in Article 1.
The Contracting Parties shall exchange, by diplomatic means, the specimen travel documents referred to in Article 1 of this Agreement and the typical details thereof no later than 60 days before the entry into force of this Agreement. In the event of a change of travel documents, the Contracting Parties shall send their new designs together with the typical information on such documents by diplomatic means no later than 60 days before their introduction.
Persons referred to in Article 1 of this Agreement may cross the national borders of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the People's Republic of Cambodia at border crossing points for international travel.
1. Citizens of one Contracting Party shall comply with the legislation of that Contracting Party during their stay in the territory of the other Contracting Party.
2. This Agreement shall not affect the right of the Contracting Parties to refuse entry into their territory to persons deemed undesirable or to terminate their stay without giving reasons for this Decision to the other Contracting Party.
Each Contracting Party may temporarily suspend the application of this Agreement or part thereof for reasons of public policy or public health. The introduction and the repeal of this measure shall be notified without delay by diplomatic channels to the other Contracting Party.
Citizens of one Contracting Party who have lost their travel document in the territory of the other Contracting Party shall immediately inform the competent authority of that Contracting Party, which shall issue to them a certificate of the expiry of the travel document. On the basis of this confirmation, a diplomatic mission or consular post shall issue a replacement travel document to the citizen of its State. The departure of the holder of this replacement travel document shall be governed by the laws of the Contracting Party in whose territory the travel document has been disposed of.
The national provisions of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the People's Republic of Cambodia on registration are without prejudice to this Agreement.
1. This Agreement shall enter into force 60 days after the date of its signature.
2. This Agreement shall be concluded for an indefinite period and shall remain in force for 3 months from the date on which one of the Contracting Parties denies it in writing by diplomatic means.
