GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 18 February 1998
on the introduction of summer time between 1998 and 2001
The government orders pursuant to § 1 of Act No. 54 / 1946 Coll., on Summer Time, and to implement the Labour Code:
The beginning and end of summer time between 1998 and 2001
(1) Summer time is introduced
(a) in 1998 on 29 March;
(b) in 1999, on 28 March;
(c) in 2000, on 26 March;
(d) in 2001, 25 March.
These days, at the second hour of Central European time, the clock will shift to the third hour of summer time.
(2) Summer time ends
(a) in 1998 on 25 October;
(b) in 1999, 31 October;
(c) in 2000 on 29 October;
(d) in 2001, 28 October.
In these days, the third hour of summer time will shift the clock to the second hour of Central European time.
Impact of summer time on fixed weekly working hours
(1) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members whose beginning of summer time between 1998 and 2001 will be one hour shorter in their working shift, if such working hours are reduced as a result of the introduction of summer time, in the relevant week.
(2) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members whose end of summer time between 1998 and 2001 falls into their working shift, if this shift is extended as a result of the end of summer time, will be one hour longer in the week in question.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
