THE LAW
of 17 December 2003
on the insurance contract and on the amendment of related laws (Insurance Contract Act)
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Amendment of the Act on certain conditions for tourism business
Act No. 159 / 1999 Coll., on certain conditions of business in the field of tourism and amending Act No. 40 / 1964 Coll., Civil Code, as amended, and Act No. 455 / 1991 Coll., on Business Business (Trade Act), as amended, as amended, Act No. 39 / 2004 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. The heading above Section 6 reads: "Compulsory insurance of the guarantee."
2. In Article 6 (1), the words "guarantees in the event of bankruptcy of a travel agency 'shall be inserted after the words" insurance'.
3. In Paragraph 6 (2), the words "for compulsory contractual insurance, the provisions of Part Eight of Title 15 of the First to Fourth Civil Code shall apply. 'shall be replaced by the words" the compulsory insurance of the guarantee shall be governed by the relevant provisions of the Special Act. 10a)'.
Footnote 10a) reads as follows:
"10a) Act No. 37 / 2004 Coll., on Insurance Contract and Amendment of Related Acts (Insurance Contract Act). '.
TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS
(1) Legal relationships arising from insurance contracts concluded before the date of entry into force of this Act shall be governed by existing legislation.
(2) If the term "disposal 'is used in life insurance legislation, it shall be understood as" redemption' under this Act.
EFFECTIVE
This Act shall take effect on 1 January 2005, with the exception of the provisions of Sections 23 (4) to (6), 30, 42, 63, 64 to 67 and 70, which shall take effect on the date of entry into force of the Treaty of Accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union.
