DECLARATION
Ministry of Foreign Trade
of 31 March 1961
on the modification of the scope of the Czechoslovak Chamber of Commerce and the business of Rapid and Polytechna
The Ministry of Foreign Trade provides in an agreement with the Ministry of Finance pursuant to § § § 2 and 20 of Act No. 119 / 1948 Coll., on the State Organisation of Foreign Trade and International Sailing:
Decree of the Foreign Trade Minister No. 103 / 1960 Coll., on the jurisdiction of the Czechoslovak Chamber of Commerce and its Organisation, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 3 (1) (g) shall be deleted;
2. Paragraph 3 (1) (i) reads as follows:
"(i) in the framework of directives issued by the Minister for Foreign Trade to coordinate and, in fundamental matters, manage activities on trade fairs and exhibitions relevant to Czechoslovak foreign trade;"
3. Paragraph 3 (1) (j) reads as follows:
"(j) in the framework of directives issued by the Minister for Foreign Trade to coordinate and, in matters of principle, manage economic promotion activities in relation to the needs of Czechoslovak foreign trade."
4. in § § 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18, the words "Deputy President" or "Deputy Presidents" shall be replaced by the words "Vice-President" or "Vice-Presidents."
Decree of the Minister for Foreign Trade No 105 / 1960 Coll., on the establishment of Rapid, a company for promotion in foreign trade, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 3 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) The main business of the enterprise is:
(a) the exclusive implementation and brokering of any economic promotion activity and of all services required for promotion activities in foreign trade, in particular in the issuing of promotional and information means and materials, as well as in the provision of publishing activities for the purposes of foreign trade;
(b) the exclusive organisation and management of independent Czechoslovak exhibitions (official or organised by Czechoslovak foreign trade undertakings) abroad where they are relevant for foreign trade; organisation of official Czechoslovak participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions and other enterprises of a similar nature abroad, which are relevant for foreign trade; coordinating the individual participation of Czechoslovak foreign trade undertakings in them, organising and managing coordinated participation of foreign trade undertakings in foreign trade fairs and exhibitions; setting up sample shops for Czechoslovak products abroad for commercial and technical documentation purposes as well as organising participation of Czechoslovak and foreign enterprises in exhibitions in the Czech Republic, with the exception of the International Fair in Brno.
2. Paragraph 6 reads as follows:
"The core capital of the company is 20 000 000 Kcs."
Decree No 3 / 1959 of the Minister for Foreign Trade of the Ú. l., on the establishment of the company Polytechna, the foreign trade undertaking for the mediation of technical cooperation, is amended as follows:
The following provision marked with point (e) is added to Paragraph 3 (1):
"(e) the performance of a patent and stamp office for the needs of Czechoslovak applicants abroad, in particular the execution of all necessary measures abroad according to the orders given to achieve and maintain patent, stamp and model protection and record keeping in foreign patents and registered trademarks and protected designs."
On the day of the entry into force of this decree, the companies Rapid and Polytechna are transferred to the rights and obligations of the Czechoslovak Chamber of Commerce in connection with the implementation of the activities which become the subject of the business of those undertakings under this decree, in particular the rights and obligations of the representative contracts, cooperation agreements with foreign agencies, patent agents, etc.
This decree shall take effect on 1 April 1961.
