concerning the Agreement on the provisional arrangements for economic relations between the Republic of Czechoslovakia and the Republic of Finland, signed in Helsinki on 6 May 1949.
An Agreement on the provisional arrangements for economic relations was negotiated between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Finland in Helsinki on 6 May 1949. It was approved by the National Assembly on 13 July 1949 and was ratified by the President of the Republic on 31 October 1949.
The instruments of ratification were exchanged in Prague on 16 November 1949, the date of which this agreement became effective under Article 5.

The following agreement has been negotiated on behalf of the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Finland:

on the provisional arrangements for economic relations between the Republic of Czechoslovakia and the Republic of Finland
THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CZECH REPUBLIC WITH ONE PARTICIPATION AND THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF FINLAND WITH THE OTHER PARTY, Wishing to consolidate and facilitate the economic ties that the two States have linked, have decided to conclude an Agreement on the provisional adjustment of economic relations in the trade and navigation treaty and have appointed, for that purpose, their members:
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CZECH REPUBLIC:
Mr KARL DUFK, special envoy and authorised Minister,
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF FINLAND:
Mr UUNO TAKKI, Minister for Trade and Industry,
who have exchanged their powers of attorney, which have been found in good and proper form, have agreed on the following provisions:
The Contracting Parties shall grant each other reciprocal treatment in accordance with the most favourable principle on all matters relating to customs and import and export charges, national taxation of goods imported by the Member State concerned and of all provisions and formalities for import and export.
In each respect, physical and legal persons of both States will enjoy, under reciprocal conditions in the territory of the other Contracting State, the same advantages as the most favoured physical and legal persons of the State in all matters relating to trade, industry and navigation and other types of business.
As regards transit, both Contracting Parties will use in their mutual relations the provisions of the Barcelona Agreement and the Statute on Freedom of Transit of 20 April 1921.
Provisions of this The agreements shall not affect rights and privileges which are or will be granted by one of the Contracting Parties in order to facilitate border traffic with neighbouring States in a zone not exceeding 15 km from each side of the border.
This Agreement will be ratified and the instruments of ratification exchanged as soon as possible in Prague.
The Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the replacement of the instruments of ratification.
