GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 12 July 2021
determining which firearms and ammunition may be transported from another Member State to the territory of the Czech Republic without the prior consent of the competent authorities of the Czech Republic
The Government mandates pursuant to § 51 (6) of Act No. 119 / 2002 Coll., on firearms and ammunition (the Act on Weapons), as amended by Act No. 170 / 2013 Coll.:
In the territory of the Czech Republic it is possible to transport from another Member State without prior consent issued by the competent authorities of the Czech Republic under the arms law
(a) paintball weapons;
(b) gas weapons of a calibre not exceeding 6,35 mm;
(c) ammunition for the weapons referred to in (a) and (b);
(d) firearms not listed in the weapon categories under the Arms Act,
1. mechanical weapons; and
2. objects which have the appearance of a firearm but are made so that they cannot be converted to fire a mass or uniform missile or other projectile by the effect of the immediate release of chemical energy; and
(e) semi-finished products of essential parts of arms; the main part of the weapon is semi-finished or semi-finished product, in particular in the form of castings, forgings, moulds, workpieces or 3D copies, which, in order to be adapted to the main part of the weapon, requires substantial processing using tools other than those normally available.
Repeal
Government Decree No. 151 / 2004 Coll., establishing which firearms and ammunition can be transported from another Member State to the territory of the Czech Republic without the prior consent of the competent authorities of the Czech Republic, is repealed.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on the first day of the calendar month following its publication.
