Government Regulation
of 12 July 1949
on the adjustment of the autonomous tariff.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic hereby orders, pursuant to Article 1 of the Act of 21 December 1948, No 292 Coll., on the modification of the tariff during the transitional period:
The General Customs Tariff for the Czechoslovak customs territory, as published in the Annex to the Decree of 14 March 1947, No 32 Coll., on the General Customs Tariff, is hereby amended as follows:
1. For soils No 11 and No 13, the words "limons," and for soils No 13, the words "loaded in saltwater" and "loaded in saltwater" are replaced by the words "loaded in saltwater" and "loaded in saltwater."
2. The word "(pisang)" is deleted at the number 14.
3. The rate of number 17 is:
"17. Pin cores; St. John's bread, narola, chestnuts; coconuts and similar alien edible nuts; olives:
(a) pine cores, as follows:

24. The heading of class XXII reads:

(25) In the footnote for the rate, p. 205c, the words "offices in Krnov and Vejprtech" shall be replaced by the words "department specifically empowered."
26. Note for the number 216:
"Note. All other fabrics, embroidery, lace, tulles, acamites and goods woven on the basis of acamite, articles of ribbon, braid or knockery made of hemp and other yarn of a set number. 205 are stuffed as the same linen goods."
27. For the tariff number 223, the words "on importation through customs offices expressly authorised 'shall be replaced by the words" imported through the customs department of ONV expressly authorised'.
28. In the case of rate No 224, the words "on importation through customs offices expressly authorised 'shall be replaced by the words" imported through the customs department of ONV expressly authorised'.
29. in the footnote for the rate. pol. p. 244a) 2, the words "Chamber of Commerce and Trade in Brno" are replaced by the words "Chamber of Commerce of Czechoslovakia";

55. In the case of the tariff number 429, the words "(steel covered)" shall be deleted.

63. In the case of pol. pol. 443a) and in the case of the number 444, the word "welded" is replaced by "welded" and in the case of the number 444, the comma is deleted before the word "forged."
64.In the case of pol. pol. 445b) and in note (a) and (b), the words "of smooth (dressed) sheet 'are replaced by the words" of polished (dressed) sheet'.
65. In the case of tariff No 453, the words "rock or stone drills' are replaced by" rock drills' and "hollow rock or stone drills'.
66. In the case of set number 460, the word "nezzies" is replaced by "drills."
67. Note for set number 468:
"Note. Needle creatures are stuffed as wire goods specifically unnamed at the number 466."
68. The words "on the spring" shall be deleted at the set number 470.
69. The words "except for the furniture of the art locksmith" are deleted at the number 476.

"1. According to the Customs Tariff, the word iron means technical iron; its malleable species are referred to as malleable iron and include not only all types of steel (also steel cast iron) but also tempered cast iron (softened and malleable) and electrolytic iron. '
71. The first sentence of the 2nd General Note to Section XXXVIII reads as follows:
'2. In the case of goods of technical iron ("ferrous'), worked - unworked (raw) - three stages of working are recognised. '
72. In the case of tariff heading 509, the words "if they do not belong to tariff heading 520 'shall be replaced by the words" also associated with ordinary or fine matter, if they do not belong to tariff item 520b'.
73. For the tariff number 510, the words "if these jewels do not belong to the tariff number 520 'shall be replaced by the words" if they do not belong to the rate.
74. For the tariff number 516, the word "shell 'is replaced by" cast'.
75. The term "and XLII" shall be deleted from the heading of the heading. heading number 526:

2. The individual, specially imported components of engines referred to in note 1 which are fully worked and which are without doubt identifiable as components of such engines shall be filled with the rates applicable to each type of engine, provided that the importer can prove safely that the components belong to the engine of the relevant type and weight. If the importer does not demonstrate such competence, the components referred to in item (b) of note 1 shall be stuffed. However, if it demonstrates the type of engine and does not show the weight, the components referred to in (a) 1 of note 1 shall be stuffed. '
