DECLARATION
of 7 June 2005
amending Decree No 243 / 2001 Coll., on vehicle registration, as amended
The Ministry of Transport provides, pursuant to § 91 (1) of Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., on the conditions for the operation of vehicles on the road and amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on the insurance of liability for damage caused by the operation of the vehicle and on the amendment of certain related laws (Act on the insurance of liability from the operation of the vehicle), as amended by Act No. 307 / 1999 Coll., ("the Act ') for the implementation of § 4 (7), § 5 (3), § 7 (2) and (4) and § 79 (5) of the Act:
Decree No. 243 / 2001 Coll., on Vehicle Registration, as amended by Decree No. 496 / 2001 Coll., Decree No. 368 / 2002 Coll., Decree No. 98 / 2003 Coll., Decree No. 401 / 2003 Coll. and Decree No. 291 / 2004 Coll., are amended as follows:
1. in Article 3 (2) (a), the words "vehicle registration document" are replaced by the words "vehicle registration certificate."
2. In Article 11 (1), the words "where the vehicle is registered 'are replaced by the words" in whose administrative district it has its place of residence or place of business, if different from residence or registered office'.
3. Paragraph 16 (3) reads as follows:
"(3) The diplomatic registration mark shall be composed of the capital letters of the Latin alphabet" DD, "" CD, "" XX, "" XS "or" HC "and Arabic numerals."
4. In Article 16 (3), "" DD 'is deleted.
5. Annex 6 shall read as follows:

Transitional provisions
(1) The technical licences of a motor vehicle and its trailer and the technical licences of a road vehicle and a trailer issued before the entry into force of this Decree remain valid. When reporting and recording changes to the data in the road vehicle register, these licences shall not be exchanged if new data can be entered in those licences.
(2) The technical licence certificate and the registration certificate of the road motor vehicle and trailer issued before the entry into force of this decree remain valid. A new vehicle registration certificate shall be issued when the changes to the information contained in this certificate are recorded.
(3) Forms of technical licences of a road motor vehicle and trailer manufactured before the date of application of this Decree may be issued by the vehicle manufacturer or registration site until stocks are exhausted, but until 31 December 2005 at the latest. If the vehicle has been equipped with a technical card and has been handed over to its owner by the seller before 31 December 2005, the registration of the vehicle shall continue after that date.
(4) Forms of the certificate of registration of a road motor vehicle and trailer manufactured before the decree is effective shall be issued by the registration point until stocks are exhausted, but until 31 December 2006 at the latest.
(5) Forms of travel records for a special registration mark manufactured before the entry into force of this Order may be used by 31 December 2006 at the latest, provided that they indicate the changes resulting from the adaptation of Annex 11 thereto.
Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on 1 July 2005, with the exception of point 4 of Article I, which shall take effect on 1 January 2006.
