Decree of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs on additional leave for workers working with chemical carcinogens

DECLARATION
Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs
of 28 March 1986
on additional leave for workers working with chemical carcinogens
The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs provides, pursuant to § 105 paragraph 2 of the Labour Code No. 65 / 1965 Coll., as amended by Act No. 20 / 1975 Coll., in agreement with the Ministry of Health of the Czech Socialist Republic and the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Socialist Republic and the Central Council of Trade Unions:
§ 1
Employees of organisations of the Ministry of Industry of the Czech Socialist Republic and of the Ministry of Industry of the Slovak Socialist Republic, who perform their work in a controlled pásm1, are considered to be workers who perform particularly difficult or harmful work.
(a) in workplaces with proven chemical carcinogens; or
(b) in working processes at risk of chemical carcinogenicity.
§ 2
(1) The proven chemical carcinogens (1) for the purposes of this decree are:
(a) 4 - aminobiphenyl;
(b) benzidine,
(c) bis (chloromethyl) ether,
(d) 2 - naphthylamine,
(e) vinyl chloride (monomer),
(f) all substances, mixtures or products containing more than 0,1% of the substances referred to in (a) to (e).
(2) The working processes at risk of chemical carcinogenicity (1) for the purposes of this decree are:
(a) the production of arsenic and its compounds;
(b) extraction, primary production and industrial processing of asbestos and products containing it;
(c) production of auramine;
(d) the production and industrial processing of benzene;
(e) the production of beryllium and its compounds;
(f) the production of hexavalent chromium compounds;
(g) the production and processing of cadmium oxide;
(h) the production of isopropyl alcohol by sulphonic processes;
(i) the processing of nickel ores, the production and cleaning of nickel metal,
(j) coking and coke-chemical treatment of coal and pitch, direct treatment of coal tar and pitch and pressure gasification of brown coal, including intermediate products, processing of primary intermediate products and by-products, in particular cooling and cleaning of raw gas, processing of phenolic waters, brown coal tar and dispatch of by-products.
§ 3
Workers working on the work provided for in this Order shall be entitled to additional leave provided that they carry out such work at least half the weekly working hours laid down for such work.
§ 4
Additional leave under this decree is valid from 1 April 1986.
§ 5
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
