DECLARATION
of 20 June 2025
amending Decree No 343 / 2014 Coll., on Vehicle Registration, as amended
The Ministry of Transport provides pursuant to Article 91 (1) of Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., on the conditions for the operation of vehicles on the road, as amended by Act No. 103 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 411 / 2005 Coll., Act No. 226 / 2006 Coll., Act No. 170 / 2007 Coll., Act No. 297 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 152 / 2011 Coll., Act No. 239 / 2013 Coll., Act No. 63 / 2017 Coll., Act No. 193 / 2018 Coll., Act No. 337 / 2020 Coll., Act No. 432 / 2022 Coll.
Decree No. 343 / 2014 Coll., on Vehicle Registration, as amended by Decree No. 399 / 2015 Coll., Decree No. 10 / 2017 Coll., Decree No. 86 / 2017 Coll., Decree No. 158 / 2017 Coll., Decree No. 72 / 2019 Coll., Decree No. 40 / 2020 Coll., Decree No. 330 / 2022 Coll. and Decree No. 154 / 2023 Coll., are amended as follows:
1. Article 11 shall be deleted, including the title.
2. In Article 12 (d), the word "or 'is deleted.
3. In Article 12, at the end of point (e), the dot is replaced by "or 'and the following point (f) is added:
"(f) a vehicle intended to operate public regular services."
4. in Article 23 (a) (1) and Article 29 (2) (a), the words "and trailers" shall be replaced by the words "trailers and tractors with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more."
5. In Article 23 (a), the words "except for tractors with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more 'shall be added at the end of the text of point 2.
6. in Paragraph 29 (1) (a):
"(a) 520 x 110 mm
1. for a passenger car, unless it has space for placing the plate bearing the registration mark referred to in (c) or (e);
2. for a truck, unless it has space for placing a plate bearing the registration mark referred to in (b) or (e);
3. for the bus and trailer, unless it has the space for placing the plate bearing the registration mark referred to in (b);
4. for a tractor, with the exception of a tractor with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more, and its trailer or self-propelled work machine, unless it has space for placing a plate bearing the registration mark referred to in (c) or (d);
5. in the case of a tractor with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and having a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more, provided that it has no space for placing the plate bearing the registration mark referred to in (b);
6. in the case of a motorcycle and its trailer, unless it has space for placing the plate bearing the registration mark referred to in (d);
7. for other vehicles, unless they have space for placing the plate bearing the registration mark referred to in (d), ';
7. In Article 29 (1) (b), the words "and trailer 'are replaced by the words" trailer and tractor with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more'.
8. in Article 29 (1) (c) and (d), Article 29 (2) (b), Article 29 (5) and Article 29 (9) (a), the words "except for tractors with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more," shall be inserted after the word "tractor."
9. in Articles 32 (1), 32 (4) and 32 (4) (b), the word 'road' shall be deleted;
10. in Article 32 (3) and (4), the word "road" shall be deleted;
11. in Paragraph 32 (4), the words "or on a tractor with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more" shall be inserted after the word "vehicle."
12. in Article 32 (4) (b), the words "and, in the case of a tractor with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more," shall be inserted after the words "2 000 mm above the ground plane."
13. In Article 33 (1), the words "except for tractors with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more 'shall be inserted after the words" tractors'.
14. In Article 33 (1), the words "except for a tractor with a maximum authorised mass exceeding 3,500 kg and a design speed of 80 km.h-1 or more 'shall be inserted after the words" tractor'.
15. Annex 2 shall read as follows:

2. Physical properties of registration plates
1. The registration mark table shall be made of aluminium sheet with reflective film and colour or transparent screen printing, as referred to in Article 10 of this Annex. All materials are applied on the base to form a durable bond with the base, resistant to impact and bending. The surface of the registration plate is smooth, washable and weather-resistant and aggressive effects of sprinkler and defrosting materials and fuel.
2. The registration mark, letters, numbers and characters shall be stamped or pressed in a profile of maximum 2 mm in the registration plate table. In the same high profile, the groove is pressed, forming the frame of the plate plate.
3. The material for the carrier part of the registration plate table is aluminium plate thickness 1 mm, which corresponds to technical standard ČSN EN 485-2 (Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Part 2 - Mechanical properties) and ČSN EN 573-3 (Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Part 3 - chemical composition and product types).
4. Each registration mark shall contain a protective element.
5. The location of the protection element on the registration plate table is given in Annex 27 to this Decree.
6. The protective element shall be so manufactured as to be visible throughout the life of the registration plate without using technical means or special lighting.
