A citizen who is authorised for long-term or permanent residence in the territory of the other Republic shall be granted access to education by each Contracting Party to the same extent and under the same conditions as the citizen of the Republic in whose territory he is authorised for long-term or permanent residence.
Each Contracting Party shall also allow this citizen to be trained in the mother tongue to the extent and under the conditions laid down in international law.
A primary school or secondary school student has the right to use the Czech language or Slovak language in education or education, in addition to teaching subjects, Czech language and literature and Slovak language and literature. Of these subjects, the lack of knowledge of primary school or secondary school pupils during the first three years of attendance at one of those schools since the long-term residence permit or permanent residence is considered as grounds for which the pupil does not need to be classified.
Each Contracting Party shall create the most favourable conditions for the study of citizens of the other Republic not covered by Articles 1 and 2. The same conditions will be created to develop further forms of cooperation in the field of education. To this end, the Contracting Parties shall conclude further agreements.
