THE LAW
of 12 January 2000
amending Act No. 29 / 1984 Coll., on the System of Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Higher Vocational Schools (Education Act), as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 29 / 1984 Coll., on the System of Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Higher Vocational Schools (Education Act), as amended by Act No. 188 / 1988 Coll., Act No. 171 / 1990 Coll., Act No. 522 / 1990 Coll., Act No. 134 / 1993 Coll., Act No. 190 / 1993 Coll., Act No. 331 / 1993 Coll., Constitutional Court Act No. 49 / 1994 Coll., Act No. 256 / 1994 Coll. and Act No. 138 / 1995 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 19 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) In secondary school studies, other than those referred to in paragraph 2, pupils and other applicants who have completed compulsory schooling and who have fulfilled the conditions for admission during the admission procedure by demonstrating the appropriate competences, knowledge, interests and medical fitness required for the chosen field of education shall be admitted. ';
2. In Article 27c, the current text becomes paragraph 1 and the following paragraph 2 is added:
"(2) Accommodation and catering may be provided to pupils of higher vocational schools in youth homes under the same conditions as those of secondary school pupils."
3. In Paragraph 32 (4), the word "priority 'shall be inserted after the words" teaching'.
4. In Paragraph 32a (2), the word "preferred 'shall be inserted after the words" schools with one and two years of preparation'.
Repeal
In Article 45 of Act No. 76 / 1978 Coll., on School Devices, as amended by Act No. 390 / 1991 Coll. and Act No. 138 / 1995 Coll., paragraphs 1 and 8 are deleted.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
