on the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen on cooperation in the field of health
The Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen on cooperation in the field of health was signed in Aden on 12 February 1981. The Agreement entered into force on 19 May 1982 pursuant to Article 9 thereof.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen on cooperation in the field of health
the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen,
led by the desire to strengthen friendly relations and cooperation in the health sector between the two countries,
have decided to conclude the following agreement:
The Parties shall develop cooperation and promote mutual exchange of experience on health issues.
The Parties shall exchange experience in the field of health care and management of health services, in particular in the field of disease prevention and treatment, sanitary and anti-epidemic care, medical education and experience in the use of medical tools, instruments and medicines.
The Parties shall exchange programmes and materials on study trips, conferences and meetings on health issues. In the event that a Congress with international participation is organised in the territory of one of the Contracting Parties, that Contracting Party shall invite the other Contracting Party to participate in that Congress.
The Parties shall exchange lists of medical literature, medical care films, teaching and visual aids and other medical education aids.
The Parties shall exchange experience in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and shall send each other reports on the epidemiological situation.
The Parties shall cooperate in the field of training medical personnel:
1. The Parties shall promote the exchange of doctors and other medical personnel for training purposes and provide them with the possibility to study certain types of diseases.
2. The scope of the exchange of experts from both countries and the conditions for their broadcasting and reception, including the form of remuneration, shall be agreed between the relevant organisations of both countries.
3. The Parties shall exchange teaching tools and teaching experience.
The competent authorities and bodies of both Contracting Parties shall receive sick citizens of the other Contracting Party for treatment in hospitals under the conditions agreed in the cooperation plans agreed in accordance with Article 8.
In order to implement this Agreement, the Parties shall negotiate specific cooperation plans for certain periods of time, including the financial and organisational conditions for the implementation of this Agreement.
This Agreement shall be subject to approval under the national provisions of the Contracting Parties and shall enter into force on the date of the exchange of notes on its approval. It shall be agreed for a period of 5 years and shall be automatically extended by another 5 years unless one of the Contracting Parties denies it in writing 6 months before the expiry of the relevant period.
Done at Aden, 12 February 1981, in duplicate, each in the Czech, Arabic and English languages, each text being equally authentic.
