DECLARATION
Ministry of Education of the Czech Socialist Republic

amending Decree No 83 / 1974 Coll., on the equivalence and recognition of diplomas and diplomas for education issued in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
The Ministry of Education of the Czech Socialist Republic provides, pursuant to § 31 paragraph 2 of Act No. 186 / 1960 Coll., on the System of Education and Education (Education Act), and under § 19 paragraph 1 of Act No. 19 / 1966 Coll., on Higher Education:
Decree of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Socialist Republic No. 83 / 1974 Coll., on the equivalence and recognition of certificates and diplomas of education awarded in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, is amended as follows:
1. Article 2 (1), (4) and (5) reads as follows:
"(1) The certificates and diplomas referred to in Section 1 shall become valid in the territory of the Czech Socialist Republic on 6 June 1972, when the Protocol on the equivalence of documents on education, scientific degrees and titles issued or awarded in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics entered into force, (1) or on the date of issue of the document if it was issued after the entry into force of the Protocol. The equivalence of the certificates and diplomas referred to in § 1 (1) and (2) shall be certified by issuing a verification clause, diplomas referred to in § 1 (3), by issuing a certificate of equivalence.
(4) The certificate of equivalence of diplomas referred to in Paragraph 1 (3) shall be issued by a university of the same or related specialisation.
(5) The Ministry of Education of the Czech Socialist Republic will decide in contentious and unclear cases, which school is the closest to a completed study. If he goes to a school which is equivalent only in the territory of the Slovak Socialist Republic, the Ministry of Education of the Czech Socialist Republic will refer the request to the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Socialist Republic. "
Article 4 (1) and (3) reads as follows:
"(1) The applicant shall request the competent authority in writing to issue a verification endorsement or certificate of equivalence. The application shall be accompanied by the original of the certificate or diploma and a certified translation thereof.
(3) As regards the original diploma referred to in § 1 (3), a university certificate of equivalence shall be issued in accordance with the model in Annex 2 to this Decree. "
3. In Annex 1 to Decree No. 83 / 1974 Coll., Model C of the Verification Clause issued by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Socialist Republic is deleted.
4. In Annex 2 to Decree No. 83 / 1974 Coll., the words "Ministry of Education of the Czech Socialist Republic 'are deleted and the words" Name of the College' are given.
The documents issued pursuant to Decree No. 83 / 1974 Coll. on the date of application of Decree No. 147 / 1976 Coll. are subject to Article I (2) (1).
This decree shall take effect on 1 January 1977.
