Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that an Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Republic of Poland on the amendment of Annexes 1 and 2 to the Treaty between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Poland on small border traffic of 17 January 1995, published under No 187 / 1996 Coll.
The Arrangement entered into force on 15 July 1997.
The Czech translation of the Polish note and the Czech version of the Czech note are announced simultaneously.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland sends to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Warsaw an expression of respect and, in accordance with Article 3 (4) of the Treaty between the Republic of Poland and the Czech Republic on small border traffic of 17 January 1995, takes the liberty of proposing the conclusion of the Arrangement in the form of an exchange of a diplomatic note between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Czech Republic on the amendment to Annexes 1 and 2 to the above Treaty.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland proposes amendments to the following text:
1. in Annex 1 - List of municipalities included in the border zone:
(a) in Part I concerning the Republic of Poland, after entry 116, entries 117 and 118 are added, as amended by:
- "117.
- "118.
(b) in Part II concerning the Czech Republic, entry 416, as amended by:
"416.
2. in Annex 2 - List of crossing points intended exclusively for local border traffic:
(a) headings 2 and 36 shall read as follows:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland proposes that, in the event of the agreement of the Government of the Czech Republic with the above mentioned, the present note, together with the reply to it, should establish the Arrangement, which will take effect on the date of receipt of the note, which will be the reply of the Government of the Czech Republic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland uses this opportunity to restate the Czech Embassy's deep respect.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic shows respect for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and has the honour to confirm receipt of its note No. DPT I 214-4-93 of 8 October 1996 proposing the conclusion of the Arrangement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Republic of Poland on the amendment of Annexes 1 and 2 to the Treaty between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Poland on small border traffic of the following text:
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland shows respect for the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Warsaw and, in accordance with the provisions of Article 3 of the Treaty between the Republic of Poland and the Czech Republic on small border traffic of 17 January 1995, has the honour to propose the conclusion of the Arrangement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Czech Republic in the form of an exchange of diplomatic notes on amendments to Annexes 1 and 2 to the above Treaty.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland proposes amendments as follows:
1. in Annex 1 - List of municipalities located in the border zone:
(a) in Part I, concerning the Republic of Poland, the following entry 117 and 118 are inserted after entry 116:
- "117.
- "118.
(b) in Part II concerning the Czech Republic, entry 416 is added after entry 415 as amended by:
- "416.
2. in Annex 2 - List of crossing points intended exclusively for local border traffic:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland proposes that if the Government of the Czech Republic gives its consent to the above mentioned, this note together with the reply form the Arrangement which will enter into force on the date of delivery of the note containing the reply of the Government of the Czech Republic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland uses this opportunity to reassure the Czech Embassy with its profound respect. "
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Warsaw has the honour to state that the Government of the Czech Republic agrees with the above proposal of the Government of the Republic of Poland. Accordingly, this note and note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland no. DPT I 214-4-93 constitute the Arrangement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Republic of Poland in the present case, which will enter into force on the date of service of that note.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Warsaw uses this opportunity to reassure the esteemed Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic with its profound respect.
