DECLARATION
Czech National Banks
of 4 May 1993
on the issue of coins of CZK 2 of model 1993, on the expiry of coins of CZK 2 and their exchange
Czech National Bank pursuant to § 22 (a) and (d) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, states:
§ 1
On 9 June 1993, the coins shall be issued for circulation in the form of CZK 2 of the model 1993 (hereinafter referred to as "the two crowns').
§ 2
(1) The two crowns are rolled of steel, which is galvanically plated with nickel on both sides and on the edge. The weight of the double crown is 3,7 g, its diameter is 21,5 mm and its strength is 1,85 mm. The double crown has the shape of a regular 11-edge, its edges rounded and smooth.
(2) In the case of a double crown embossing, a tolerance of 0,15 g, 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,13 mm in thickness is permitted. A downward tolerance of 0,5% is allowed in the nickel content during galvanic plating.
§ 3
(1) The Czech lion is on the cheek of the double crown as a symbol of Czech statehood. In the copy the name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC" and at the lower edge of the coin is the year of the stamping. Above the year of the stamping, a mark of a mint is placed between the back legs of the lion, which drove the double crown.
(2) On the reverse of two crowns, the marked coin value is "2." To the right of the digit is the abbreviation "CZK" indicating the money unit, the jewel (so-called Gomb) on the left from the Welkomorac Empire. The author of the design of the double crown is the academic sculptor Jarmila Truhlíková - Spíváková, the initials of her name "JTS" are placed under the figure "2" at the bottom edge of the coin.
§ 4
(1) The validity of coins after 2 Kčs1) expires on 30 November 1993.
(2) The coins referred to in paragraph 1 shall be exchanged between 1 December 1993 and 31 March 1994 by the Czech National Bank and the banks.2)
§ 5
This Decree shall take effect on 1 June 1993.
