amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on insurance of liability for damage caused by the operation of a vehicle and on the amendment of certain related laws (Act on Insurance of Liability from the Operation of a Vehicle), as amended, Act No. 363 / 1999 Coll., on Insurance of Certain Related Acts (Act on Insurance of Damage caused by the Operation of a Vehicle), as amended, Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., as amended, Act No. 307 / 1999 Coll., as amended, and Act No. 48 / 1997 Coll., on Public Health Insurance and Amendment to Certain Related Acts, as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Amendment to the Road Traffic Conditions Act
Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., on the conditions for the operation of vehicles on the road and amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on the insurance of liability for damage caused by the operation of a vehicle and on the amendment of certain related laws (Act No. 193 / 2003 Coll., Act No. 103 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 186 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 237 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 411 / 2005 Coll., Act No. 226 / 2006 Coll., Act No. 311 / 2006 Coll., Act No. 342 / 2006 Coll.
1. In Article 4 (5) (c), the words "communicated by or returned by the Czech Insurance Office to the register of road motor vehicles and trailers," and the words "indicated in the document on vehicle liability insurance," shall be inserted after the words "communicated by the Czech Insurance Office or by that office to the register of road motor vehicles and trailers."

Reimbursement of medical care costs incurred as a result of an infringement against the insured
(1) The competent health insurance undertaking shall have the right to reimbursement against the third party of the costs of medical care incurred as a result of the alleged infringement of the third party against the insured. The replacement according to the first sentence is the income of the health insurance fund.
(2) For the purposes of the reimbursement of the cost of health insurance care referred to in paragraph 1, health care establishments shall notify the relevant health insurance undertaking of accidents and other damage to the health of the persons to whom they have provided health care, provided that they have reasonable grounds to suspect that the accident or other harm was caused by the conduct of a legal or natural person. The authorities of the Police of the Czech Republic, the Prosecutor's Office and the courts are also required to notify. The notification obligation referred to in this paragraph shall be fulfilled within 1 month of the date on which the person who notifies it becomes aware of it.
(3) For the purposes of reimbursement of the costs of health insurance care referred to in paragraph 1, public health authorities shall, upon request, provide the competent health insurance undertaking with reports of the results of epidemiological and other investigations which those authorities are required to carry out under specific rules.
(4) For the purposes of the reimbursement of the cost of health insurance care referred to in paragraph 1, the labour inspection body and the authorities of the State Mining Administration shall, upon request, provide the competent health insurance undertaking with the results of investigations into the causes of fatal, severe and mass accidents at work and occupational diseases.
(5) For the purposes of reimbursement of the cost of medical care provided for in paragraph 1, the data referred to in the preceding paragraphs shall be provided free of charge. ';
EFFECTIVE
This Law shall take effect on 1 June 2008, with the exception of the provisions of Article I (73) as regards Article 24 (1) and Article 89 as regards Article 24c, which shall take effect on 1 January 2009.
