DECLARATION
Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports
of 23 April 1993
laying down criteria for demonstrating the knowledge of the Czech language of applicants for citizenship of the Czech Republic
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports provides, pursuant to § 7 paragraph 3 of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 40 / 1993 Coll., on the acquisition and loss of citizenship of the Czech Republic:
(1) The applicant for the grant of citizenship of the Czech Republic shall prove the poreor1) knowledge of the Czech language if:
(a) be able to respond fluently and correctly to questions relating to the normal situations of daily life;
(b) be able to make an oral statement of the content of the text from the daily press.
(2) The interview takes no more than 30 minutes.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
