GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 17 December 2003
on the occupation of soldiers of the Czech Army to carry out tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic in radiation accidents at nuclear power plants
The Government orders pursuant to § 14 paragraph 3 of Act No. 219 / 1999 Coll., on the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, and pursuant to § 50a of Act No. 283 / 1991 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic, as amended by Act No. 26 / 1993 Coll.:
In the event of a radiation accident, the Police of the Czech Republic shall apply to the performance of the duties of the Order Service.
(a) the Dukovany nuclear power plant, a maximum of 500 soldiers in active service;
(b) the Temelín nuclear power plant shall have a maximum of 200 active-duty soldiers.
Soldiers in active service carry out tasks under Section 1 under the command of a member of the Police of the Czech Republic. Soldiers in active duty carry out these tasks with weapons.
The Minister of Defence shall designate soldiers in active service, including military equipment and equipment, to carry out the tasks referred to in Section 1.
Decree of the Government No. 332 / 2001 Coll., on the occupation of soldiers of the Army of the Czech Republic to perform the duties of the Police of the Czech Republic in radiation accidents of nuclear power plants is hereby repealed.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
