GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 6 May 1998
laying down further cases where no foreign exchange permit is required
The Government mandates pursuant to § 19 of Act No. 219 / 1995 Coll., Foreign Exchange Act ("the Act '):
§ 1
Foreign exchange permission is not required except in the cases provided for in the law
(a) purchase or sale of funds in foreign currency or gold;
(b) foreign securities transactions pursuant to § 11 (1) and (2) of the Act;
(c) transactions in financial derivatives under Section 12 (1) of the Act;
(d) to provide financial credits pursuant to § 14 (1) and (2) of the Act;
(e) to use the means of hedging pursuant to Article 15 of the Act;
(f) to investments other than direct investment under Article 16 of the Act; or
(g) to establish or maintain an account in a foreign or Czech currency abroad or to entrust or deposit its own funds in a foreign or Czech currency into an account held abroad pursuant to Article 6 (3) of the Act.
§ 2
(1) Government Regulation No 111 / 1997 Coll., laying down further cases where foreign exchange permits are not required for the acquisition of foreign securities, is repealed.
(2) Until the date of entry into force of this Regulation, the current provisions on the acquisition of foreign securities shall apply.
§ 3
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1999.
