DECLARATION
of 11 March 2008
on the issue of commemorative silver CZK 200 on the occasion of the Czech Republic's accession to the Schengen area
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
(1) On the occasion of the accession of the Czech Republic to the Schengen area, commemorative silver two hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crowns") are issued. The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version intended for collector's purposes with a polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Two hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of the 2-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter 31 mm and the force 2,3 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal version is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special version is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.900 * 13 g *." In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance shall be up to 0,26 g and in the silver content shall be up to 1%.
(1) On the cheek of a two-hundred crown is the coin field of the composition of heraldic animals from a large state emblem. The coin field is graphically divided into two parts that symbolize the former division of Europe. The left and right edges of the two-hundredth crown are the stylized paths that are completed in the middle. Above the composition of heraldic animals from a large national character is the "2008" stamping year. At the upper edge of the two hundred crown, the name of the State "CZECH REPUBLIC" is in the unclosed copy. The denomination of the coin with the acronym of the money unit "200 CZK" is at the bottom edge of the two hundred koruna. The mark of the mint that struck the two hundred crown is placed at the bottom of the two hundred crown on the lower left.
(2) On the reverse of two hundred crowns are stylized paths showing the free movement of persons within the Schengen area. In the middle of the road is the logo "EVROP FREE TRAVEL," whose letters "O" form the imaginary traffic light. At the left, upper and right edges of the two-hundredth crown, there is an unclosed copy of "ACCESS TO THE SCHENGEN AREA." At the lower edge of the two hundred crown, the date "21. 12. 2007" is separated from the copy by dots. The author of the design of the two hundred crown is the academic sculptor Zbyněch Fojt whose initials formed by the associated letters "FZ" are located at the right edge of the two hundred crown on the lower path.
This Decree takes effect on 26 March 2008.
