on the issue of coins after 50 CZK of model 1993 and the expiry of coins after 1 cent and after 5 cent of Czechoslovak currency and their exchange
Czech National Bank pursuant to § 22 (a) and (d) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, states:
On 7 April 1993 coins of CZK 50 model 1993 (hereinafter referred to as "50 koruna") are issued for circulation.
(1) The 50 koruna is rolled from a steel core, which is coated on both sides of the central part with a plate of an alloy containing 750 parts of copper and 250 parts of zinc and on the inner ring of a copper slice. Copper slices and 50 crowns are galvanically plated with copper. The weight of fifty crowns is 9,7 g, its diameter is 27,5 mm, of which the diameter of the middle part is 17 mm. The coin's force is 2.55 mm, its edge is smooth.
(2) A tolerance of 0,25 g, 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,05 mm in thickness shall be allowed in the case of a 50 crown embossing. In the copper content of both plating and galvanic plating of the interring, a downward and downward variation of 1% is allowed in the embossing, in the composition of the metal when plating the middle part, the upward and downward deviation of 1%.
(1) The Czech lion is on the face of 50 crowns as a symbol of Czech statehood. In the copy is the name of the State "CZECH REPUBLIC." At the bottom edge of the coin, its value is also in the copy with the abbreviation "50 CZK" name, separated from the state name by dots. This year's strike is placed between the back legs of a lion and above it is the mark of the mint that drove 50 crowns.
(2) On the back of fifty crowns is the central part of the coin in the foreground of Charles Bridge and behind it a grouping of buildings characteristic of the capital of the Czech Republic Prague. On the left is the temple of St. Nicholas, on the right is the National Theatre and in the background the panorama Hradčan with the dominance of St. Vitus Cathedral. It says "PRAGA MATER URBIUM" on the outer ring. The author of the 50 crown design is academic sculptor Ladislav Kozák, the initials of his name "LK" are located in the middle of the coin on the left above the incomplete arch of the Charles Bridge.
(1) On 30 April 1993, coins after 1 cent of the Czechoslovak currency (1) and after 5 halers of the Czechoslovak currency (2) are terminated.
(2) The coins referred to in paragraph 1 shall be exchanged between 1 May 1993 and 31 August 1993 by the Czech National Bank and the banks.3) Coins are only accepted for exchange in amounts divisible by 10.
This decree shall take effect on 1 April 1993.
